6x9s in Ibiza 2001 parcelshelf

Hi,

I might sound silly but I just bought some 6x9s for my 2001 Seat Ibiza.

I had a look at the parcel shelf today and it doesn't look like I would be able to get them in.

It looks really deep and slightly curved so they wouldn't sit right.

Can anyone help me please?

it's two layered item, maybe make some carpeted mdf bases to create a flat surface to screw them to?

i made mine into a "stealth shelf" on the 1.4

The cupra has em in the parcel shelf as normal. Think Ganda Cupra put em in, sit there ok TBH!

Just take them back to the shop and buy some speakers that sound good.. 6x9's are guff!

Im not too fussed bout how they look cus im gonna get my back windows tinted anyway..

And Im putting in a new amp and sub when I get paid, were they easy enough to put in?

And do they sit properley?

i used a jigsaw,
marked out where i was going to cut with a template,
marked the surface
drilled a 20mm hole near the line,
used jigsaw and went for it

i have had to put a bit of wood between the 2 layers but you cant see it.

That's what I was hoping I could do.. just looked at it and thought it looked weird lol.

Didn't want to damage it and then be left with no parcellshelf lol.

But if its as easy as it sounds then I should be fine

I'll put pictures up when I've finished installing everything.

I'm going to use your tutorial to help me put my sub and amp in so I might be messaging you if I need help
