Does anyone know which Goodridge brake hoses I should be ordering?

Leon Cupra - KCB-322-706-4 @ £55.24

Leon Non-Cupra - KCB-322-705-4 @ £55.24

??

Car is a 2005 TDI FR 150PD, doing the 312mm disc/carrier upgrade.

Also, is stainless steel worth the extra £14?

Don't quote me on this, but I think having s/s pipes can be an issue come MOT time....sure I remember reading that somewhere.

ChrisGTL - did you get any further on this as doing teh 312mm upgrade and am wondering same thing.
A distributer K300 couldn't be sure when asked.

Still not done my brake setup, im going to wait until my current setup is worn down more. Shall be doing them in the summer sometime.

ok no worries
i got all except hoses and am unsure which i should as can't afford to get wrong ones.
once i've got these then will def do asap

just had servie and that needed new rears as were breaking up and lipped - originals as no money for the 256mm vented setup
seen a couple on ebay but 180 a side is way more that i can afford right now

Hi Chris

I have Goodridge on my Porsche brake setup that were custom made.

I am sure though that it is Cupra ones that you need as the Cupra R has the Brembo calipers that have a different fitting to the standard calipers on the Cupra.

I am also 99% sure that the FR has the same lines as the 2.5 Leon too.

Hope this helps mate.

I have these on mine, the difference between the "cupra" and "cupra R" hoses are as follows:

The cupra has the standard hoses - as fitted to most leon models. They have a female pipe connector on one end and a ring connector for a banjo bolt on the other.

The cupra R hoses have a male pipe connector one end and a female on the other.

In my opinion they are a good, cheap, reliable mod that means you'll never have to worry about them bursting under extreme pressure.

This is driving me crazy now!

I went to buy some from a shop and the bloke told me the ones I wanted are the wrong ones, but he wasnt sure which ones I needed.

i'm gonna buy mine from ebay now - can someone confirm which one of the following products I need for my TDI P150?

- Seat Leon 2WD S1 Cupra Goodridge Braided Brake Hose Kit

- Seat Leon Non-Cupra Goodridge Braided Brake Line Kit

- Seat Leon 4wd S1 Cupra Goodridge Braided Brake Line Kit

I have a funny feeling it is the top one I need? I can't afford to buy the wrong ones :(

Same question for me.

My car is a Continental European FR, AUQ engine code, built March 2005, FWD, 312mm front brakes (ATE caliper).

As far as I could look below the mud and brake dust covering them, the caliper end hose fitting is a banjo bolt.

I have to choose from:

Goodridge:

Leon 2WD S1 (Cupra) 1999 - 2005 code KCB-322-751-4 @ £58.76
Leon 2WD S1 (Excl. Cupra) 1999 - 2005 code KCB-322-750-4 @ £82.24
Leon 4x4 S1 1999 - 2005 code KCB-322-752-4 @ £76.36

HEL:

Seat Leon 1.8 Sport / Cupra (2000-2005) (4 Line Kit - Fronts & Rears)
Seat Leon 1.8 Cupra R (2003-2005) (4 Line Kit - Fronts & Rears)

(Any of the hoses chosen will be ordered with black cover to avoid embarrasing questions at the inspection.)

Now, I understand that HEL makes the difference between a Cupra and a Cupra R, but does Goodridge as well?

How does HEL compare to Goodridge in quality and strength?

Thank you,

~Nautilus

Goodridge are plated end fittings not stainless and will corrode. HEL is all stainless

1. Can you provide the full set from HEL, front + rear hoses?
2. HEL is the same construction as Goodridge, PTFE interior + stainless steel outer mesh?
3. I need the version with black plastic cover, not clear, for stealth reasons.

Thank you,

~Nautilus
