Well I remember they said on the wtcc mag that they changed the compression ratio and got a few more bhp out of it. On thr race 2007 game its over 270bhp. Sun-red sport have also been developing it aswel while seat sport developed the TDi.

I think CVR are a venture unto themselves, not sure they would bring JP on board.

However JP has recently been linked to a possible semi-works privateer Volvo entry. I think the Volvo story might have legs based on the grapevine. ;)

Hopefully they'll hire the same people that ran SEAT Sport UK

Their Team Manager is Doug Bebb so they already have one ex-SSUK employee.

Great news. OK, they haven't got it NOW but all the same the Leons are a reality. Somewhere is a race ready CVR bioethanol SEAT Leon.

I have briefly spoken to Colin at CVR, and yes, all is on schedule for December delivery of the first Leon. Its, as touringcartimes says, an ex-WTCC chassis, which is almost ready at SEAT Sport Spain.

Also, as on touringcartimes, the engine with the E85 mapped ECU is due any time, and dyno testing is imminent.

Colin also expressed his thanks for the support SCN are showing, even before they have arrived at the grid.

In his words, "we are intending to score points from the start, we don't want to be a back field team, we want to challenge from the outset"

I'm sure, along with me, you all will give CVR all the support they need (and deserve)

Phil mate, trust me, they want us on board.

From the conversation we had (all 30 minutes of it), I can say he is a sound guy, with 2 goals, greener racing, and the Independant Title.

He is fully aware who we are (think we need to thank Timthebrief for that), and he seemed really happy that we're backing him so enthusiastically.

I think SCN can consider itself "adopted" by Team CVR

Don't get me wrong, Adam Jones and Chris Stockton will always be worth a shout in my book, but CVR, racing E85 Bio Ethanol, trying something different.

Feels a bit like they are picking up where SEAT Sport left off with the TDI's. (Oh, and the Yellow and Green cars seem a little familiar too)

If it has a Silver S on the front, I'll shout for it though.
