This looks real cool, I was thinking of trying to do this but then I had a mk5 golf courtesy car and it has the red LED shining down onto the gearstick and decided I was gona try and get that 1st - Would it be the same principle? May be able to get the whole section from a breakers and just pop it on?

I think it looks gash TBH....I don't lthink it suits the car at all IMHO, you could of at least tried to get the same colour as the dash...

I agree, too bright compared to the dash, but mabey ok if its only so bright then the door is open.

i bought the FR cos i wanted a sporty, good looks and feel car which (i hope i dont insult anybody) could slip past and not be noticed. I dont think its a "IM HERE, LOOK AT ME" car, i dont think it suits very bright or flashing or sound activated lights or anything like that.

A touch of additional style is what id want to acheive and by adding a glow in the foot wells, also so interior light doesnt need to go on when somebody drops something on the floor as my fiance is always doing.

Will try and look into it at the weekend, see where i can pinch a supply from and get the ranges measured to i can make up a small control circuit.

I may also put a white LED strip on the underside of the bonet, i went in the other nite to top-up washer fluid and it was dark, i did have a white top-on so the headlights could reflect off me to help a bit. My corsa had an engine light and it was a great help.

footwell lights audi a3 8P= leon 1p :)

anybody interested in footwell lights giude for Audi A3 8P (refittig of genuine parts) ?

I did research and some comparsion of components, and its exactly same as for Leon - so parts will fit for Leon (or golf and octavia).

I´ve got all numbers of parts and other info necessary for this "DIY", but I´ve left this idea.

So if anybody interested in, let me know ...

Hi,

Would be interested in hearing about that, always better if its the proper parts.

Have you fitted them to an A3 or leon?

DIYs

I had to turn on my oldie NB, which is not currently using, but I´ve found it :

some usefull DIYs
http://forums.fourtitude.com/zerothread?id=2055604

and here is footwell guide:
http://forums.fourtitude.com/zerothread?id=2536694&page=1

please read this guide carefully to the end, because there are some important facts about lights for rear seats (they MUST have backshields!)

only thing to discuss is how to mount lights to front passenger´s and driver´s underneath panel - thera are no pre-prepared holes for that

note: harness and all wiring are exactly same for Leon.

Dome interior lighting which is same to Leon:
