Hi all,

My ESP light is on, the fault code is 'brake pressure sensor faulty' - where abouts is this sensor located?

The car is an 06 plate 2.0Tdi Sport

Cheers
Gerry

Its in the hydrolic ABS pump, which controls the ABS/ESP/TCS what-ever variant your motor has.
Bad news is the only solution is a NEW-PUMP, pray to the lord its still under warrenty.

FAULT '-BRAKE PRESSURE SENSOR -G201- INPLAUSABLE SIGNAL-' or some other dribble like that.
The pressure sensor is built into the hydrolic unit and cannot be removed, replaced and can only be tested using dealer equipment (the test isnt very in depth anyway) but if you have it done under warrenty a new hydrolic unit and electrical ecm will be supplied and installed.
Hope that helps

I was going to just tell you it'd cost a bomb but you've found that out already.
I did 3 last week - they are becoming a frequent problem with leons, toledos and alteas around '06 reg.
Get it done fast because they were nearly out of stock within seat uks inventory.

Thanks for that. This should be a warranty job I imagine? The car runs out of warranty in Jan 09 and has been fully dealer serviced... reassure me please! The car is booked into the dealer on Tuesday so will update once complete.
