Need some advice. If i'd buy used xenon headlights (doesnt include ballasts,wires or such) what sort of stuff i'd need to buy from stealers to make them legal. Here in Finland you need the automatic ride-height adjuster when car starts, so the manual button which is inside the car next to steering wheel is useless. Do I need new wires or are they the same as non xenon headlights? How does the automatic ride-height thing work? Whats needed? Part numbers and prices would be great.. BTW do you need original ballasts or can u use those kits which are sold in ebay?

Mun vinkki ois että ostaa sellaisen halpasarjan ja retrofittaa sen eikä puhu kenellekään Periaatteessahan siitäkin tulee täysin laillinen, kerta on nekin E-tyyppihyväksyttyjä. Se korkeussäätö toimii oman käsityksen mukaan niin että kuskin ovensisälle tulee sellainen heiluripaino joka sitten aistiin siinä yksinkertaisuudessaan korin keulimiset.
Miksi sitten halpasarja, nokun joku aika sitten kysyin hintoja niin lamput, sytyttimet ja ohjainboksi maksoi huonon muistikuvan mukaan 1000euron luokkaa, eli ne umpiot on siinä yhteydessä se halvin osa. Jos ei ole mahdollista saada jostain kolariautosta kaikkea kerralla käytettynä, marmorilla saa sitten hukata satasen jos toisenkin
Johdoista ja liittimistä en osaa kuin arvailla niin jätän spekulaatiot.
...Ja muistaa että UKn pojat ajelee eripuolilla teitä, joten osanumerot kannattaa tarkistaa, ja katsella marmorillakin vielä perään että kun tuntuu että ainakin saloon otetaan ketä vaan pölvästi kadulta tilailemaan tavaraa tiskin taakse.

Will cost alot.. My advice is to find a totalled car that can donor all the needed parts, or atleast fully working headlights including ballasts, controll units and xenon bulbs. Rideheight sensor is inside the driverside door, and for my knowledge has a counterweight witch reacts on the lenghtwise bodyroll.

Edit: And you cant trust blind the partnumbers these guys have, cos theyre driving on the wrong side of the road! the headlights are defivinitely different so the other parts might differ too.. or not.

yeh and unless you get a dealer to fit them you prob will have no parts warranty you may as well just get HID kit and get a good one with warranty.

Mut se halpis sarja pitäs aina ottaa pois katsastuksen ajaks, ja noi miliisin toimet jänskää, kaveri sai sakot halpis sarjan käytöstä OEM umpiot saisin mut sit muu roipe pitäisi haalia jostain. Ja se vipu millä säädetään korkeutta ei oo xenoneille riittävä, sehän lähtee vinkkeliin ku pitäisi olla automaattinen säätyvyys esim kun käynnistää/ajossa ittestää säätyilee ne valot

If his car is even still under warranty we don't know the age?
Unless it is fitted by a main dealer parts warranty is not for very long and still no way near as long as most of the sets you can buy online for much much less than a grand!
Just realised he is form Helsinki so have no idea how much it would cost over there and what their warranty is!

iirc vag parts have a 2yr warranty

Still better to go for after market then I'd buy a more expensive set where you get a lifetime warranty and not be out of pocket but that's just my opinion.
Do all VAG parts have 2 year warranty do you know? I work for Volvo and warranty on parts is different depending on what the part is.

i think its different on some things eg coils have a 5yr warranty but generally parts have 2 yr from vag iirc

i work for bmw and all parts have 2 yr unlimited millage warranty

I work with Trucks and buses they only have 2 years warranty themselves and the parts are usually 2 years and some are unlimited mileage but not everything like a power steering pump off the top of my head and alot of wear and tear items obviously. The warrarnty is slightly less on alot of things if they are not fitted by us as well. I thought it was just two years but the parts people said it's not that simple warranty try their best not pay out for anything!
