As the title says.
The amp throws out 1500RMS at 2ohms and each sub will get 750, what sort of gauge cable should I use?

EDIT: While I'm here, what Gauge Power cable from the Battery should I use as well?

There's a table/calculation you can use at the bottom of this thread.
I'm currently running 0 gauge down my Leon.

Thanks for that mate, I'm too stupid to work that out though. I was thinking of just getting 0AWG as its 1500RMS @2ohms, but when I look for the cable, the only packs I can get are for 2-4 Amp connections

EDIT: Then I realise you can get the cables seperately, I think it's best to ignore my posts for at least 3 minutes, because I'll just figure it out

Ok so 1500RMS RMS into 2ohms
approx 750W RMS into 4ohms???

Multiply by 2 and divide by 13 = 115Amps

look on the table and for any length of cable (battery to boot we're talking here) greater than 3.3m you need 53mm2 cable which = 0 Gauge.
Not that hard ;)

Figure may vary depending on the RMS of you amp into 4ohm.

Have a talk to some decent local dealers. You will probably find a better deal with better quality (higher copper content) cable than buying a kit from the likes of CAD or CAS.

This is a list of recommended dealers......

I got a great deal from MegaWatt in Runcorn on some Audison Connections Cables, very good prices and top quality stuff.

1200 RMS at 4 ohms, so 184 amps, looks like 0awg is definately needed :p
Thanks for the installers info as well, that's gonna come in handy later!
