I think the oil temp probe goes in instead of the sump plug, but I'm sure it's going to require some kind of adapter.

I'm going to go upto daemon tweaks as its not too far from me and get everything I need from them

Dont get one of them, these are what you want - all built in and match well with standard pillar

hey can you use the same position for the temp sender as the oil pressure, which is on top on oil filter?

Don't think so, as you need to separate senders...prob have to use both options below...1 for Temp, 1 for Pressure.

so how to you get the oil temp feed from. The oil filter am i right in sayin. Cheers guys

With the gauge comes a Oil Temp sender. There are a couple of places to put it...

1. Just above the Oil filter (below the throttle body) there is a blanking plug that can be removed, and sender inserted (ensure thread matches!!)

2. Get a sump plug that has a hole to accept the sender into it, something like this:

HID's are easy to fit, worst part is drilling the headlamp back plate.

Gauges are a little more fiddly, but nothing horrendous, just a little time consuming!

sorry just read what you put. so all i need to do is buy a plug to screw in temp sender into...cheers

If you are going to put the Temp sender into the sump, then yes all you need is the new sump plug...check out Demon Tweeks, not sure on size, but i'm sure it's on here somewhere!

anyone had the halfords gauges fitted ???

did you use existing probe that came with the gauge or did u order a different one,

if used what size sump plug u use

cheers

andrew

I believe the Halfrauds gauges are Autogauge units, which I have, and I used the sender that came in the packet...just make sure the thread is the same!
