Is £20,100 a good price?

Is £20,100 a great price for a TDI FR with all the toys except mainly rear parking sensors, bi-xenons and sat nav? It's new.

cheers

Seems an awful lot considering the market isnt exactly great, and you're not being offered sat-nav & xenons. Has the car got leather seats?

What is the RRP on one of the same spec?

In todays climate, dealers are desperate to shift stock so good deals can be had. On the TT forum people are now reportedly managing to get 10% of some TTs which are normally in very high demand.

Also depends if you have a part ex and what price they are offering you for that.

A word of warning though an up-specced car is worth no more than a standard one come resale, so only buy features you want. The only thing that really affects price is the colour.

There are a few dealer who frequent this site who I'm sure could offer you a good deal.

As said above, have a shop around. There is some crazy offers on at the moment.
If you can afford new then go for it. Personally I will never buy a new car again. I would rather get a mint low mileage, 6 month old and let someone else take the hit. Lost too much money on new cars and there is very few these days holding their value in the current economic climate.
Brand new R32's for 18K anyone? :)

Although Irfan is based a fair distance from you, it might be worth seeing what he's got.

That's a crap price :)

You can have a brand new FR with all the toys, minus the satnav, rear airbags, sunroof and 18" wheels for at least 10% less. Price includes the bi-xenons, which are loooooooooooovely :)

Go, go, go see Irfan!

White Leon FR TDI £ 17,945.00
18" Wheel Upgrade £ 350.00
BlueTooth £ 250.00
Rear Airbags £ 185.00
Total £ 18,730.00

Less Discount 13% £ 16,295.00 Delivered to Hull

I found 3 dealers with this combination of car and options, and in pretty much every colour ...apparantly these are the options most people go for hence quick availability...

I agree with the post above some options you will never make your money back on ,,,,

It has got leather seats. That is a bit of a luxury i realise but leather seats are very nice. I thought it wasn't too good a price but never realised how many people would think it was this bad!

Glad I asked! :)

How much of a reduction do you guys think should I be after? Really at least 10% as has been mentioned by Eltawater?

Is that a real car sat gathering dust on the forecourt? If so, you've got more room to play with in terms of price as you're effectively taking it off their hands sharpish. Ask for 25%. They can only say no.

If it's a custom order then you may find you have slightly less leeway, as anything could happen to your/their finances in the next 12 weeks wait.

Look at autotrader for new/newly new cars of a similar spec. Ring around a few other places, not just locally but nationwide. And then decide on what YOU think it's worth. You'll soon hit a good balance as to what you can get it for / what the dealer will sell it to you for.

Yep i'm led to believe it's on their system & in another branch or place & is not a factory order. I haven't actually seen the car but only know that its already specced how I want it & anything that can be added I still want ie the leather seats which can/would be done by the dealer & is included in the quote.
