A mate of mine bought me a 6k H7 HID kit for my 21st. He bought the same kit for his car too. We fitted the kit to his car and the glare from them is really bad! They look like flood lights! The guy he bought them off has agreed to give him a refund thankfully. So the quest is on to find a better suited set :)

I've had a search on here but i'd like to know from you lot, what kits you have bought and if you'd recommend them. Pics would be good too. I've seen some kits with H7R bulbs which have anti glare blackout stickers on the bulbs....do these help? Ideally looking for kits under £100

Any help would be great :D

Cheers for the quick replies,

Would be good to have a warranty too, as the ones my mate bought didn't come with a warranty

You don't happen to have to discount codes do you?;)

I suppose you can't go wrong with a 2 year warranty

Try "strathy" that used to work too.

I got my Ibiza ones from a random seller on eBay and they weren't any better than the HIDS4U ones I had on my Seat Toledo (That cost about £280!).

I got a set for the Passat from diane-shop on eBay after Ross told me they were like £35 delivered ... they look just as good as the other two kits I've had and I'm sure they'll work just as well too.

Im gona buy me a set of theys just out of intrest did you buy the anti glares or not? Just wondering if i should..

I have just purchased the Ultimate kit from HIDS4u, they actually recommend this kit for our car, as we have sophisticated electronic systems, so this kit would work better, but if your not looking to spend that much, then go for the pro plus, I have gone with the anti glare bulbs, I have read alot of good reports about them, it's up to you, but the less chance you have of being flashed or pulled over by the law for driving with glaring headlights the better, I have read that they actually give off a better light beem than the normal bulbs:D
The code I used and it works with what ever kit you buy and gives you the best discount and is still valid at the moment is 'toyota pro', this will knock off another £25, making the pro plus only £75 or £82.49 with the anti glare bulbs:D Bargain:funk:

Go for it mate, best money i spent. I did go for the anti glares and am glad i did. You don't need the ultimate kit for our cars its just the way they word it on the site to make you buy the expensive kit. The pro + will work fine and with that code will be £85 delivered. There's always the ebay kits but i went with hids4u for the (hopefully good) customer service. :)

Totally agree:clap: like I have already said, the pro plus kit will work fine on our cars, I didn't purchase the Ultimate kit because of the way they worded it, yes it's the kit they recommend, but as it costs double what the pro plus kit does and the fact that it has seperate starters, I wanted to get the best kit around for my car, as my car deserves the best:D you always pay for what you get these days, so dont try and fool yourself in thinking that the pro plus kit is just the same or as good as the Ultimate kit, because it isnt!!

I never suggested that the pro kit was 'the same or as good as the ultimate kit'.

Obviously the pro + is a 35w kit and the ultimate is 55w but for the sake of that and seperate starters i'd rather pay half the price and still have a massive improvement over standard. The ultimate kit is really designed for cars with bulb failure warnings and canbus, so the soft starters and extra wiring arent necessary for an Ibiza.
