Fit front ARB - or just poly Bushes

ARB bushes

Hi guys and gals I`v had a pretty seriouse squeeking from the front of my car for a few weeks now and tonight checked and its the anti roll bar bushes, now what is the best option should I take them out and grease them up or replace for poly ones or any other suggestions ? I dont mind spending a bit if it improves the car .

Just put my Leon Cupra through an MOT and it passed with a few comments- bushes on ARB worn, and front brakes...

Looked at poly bushes and then looked at just replacing the ARB with an Eibach Roll Bar. what would be better just upgrading the arb completely as it comes with new rubbers?
if thats the case what size? as ive seen 22mm and 25mm i think. and i take it using one of these would allow me to lower my car further?

brake wise does anyone recommend a minor upgrade from standard? or who can recommend a seller for this or the arb?

I would recommend changing the whole unit and get a rear one while you're at it. Preferably 25mm on the front and 28mm for the rear.

As far as brakes are concerned the obvious upgrade are 312mm discs instead of 288mm's. You'll need the carrier for this to upgrade as well as the discs.

I'd say go for a new front ARB and if you can push a new rear as well, the difference will be amazing.

We have the KW front 25mm ARB on special at the moment...

do only the front with something thicker and expect it to understeer more..

bad advise.

if happy with your handling, replace the bushes, if unhappy about roll or turn in, do rear bar first.

replace them mate i tried the grease way and it work for about a week or so .then started again so replaced them

do them both and prepare to be very happy with the changes it makes to the car. i've got H&R 25mm front and rear on mine. i'm going for poly bushes next too.

Get some Powerflex ones in there. That should stop the squeeking and also tighten the front bar up a bit.

I take it the ARB bushes tend to go after a while on the LCR, I had my 2004 LCR in for a service the other day and I was told that the front ARB bushes are worn and so are the ARB"drop Links". Are the "drop links" another name for the brackets?

Does anyone know which Powerflex bushes will fit? What other parts will I need?

Get some Powerflex ones in there. That should stop the squeeking and also tighten the front bar up a bit.

Yes, and ONLY use the copper based grease that follows package or another copper based grease not lithium or any synthetic based grease...

You'll either have a 21mm or 23mm front ARB, can't remember off the top of my head, and you'd just need the bushes as it's a straight swap for like.
