Firstly before i get ripped to streds by some of you i have done a search, found alot about the ko3s hybrid but nothing about the ko3.

I want to know if you would get the same performance results by making a hybrid turbo out of a ko3 as you would with a ko3s, im assuming you would as they are similar units with different internals as standard.i believe ive only seen 1 person who is doing this on the forum.
any help? :)

Apprently not Robbie, CR turbos convert the k03. Also JBS convert the k03 and the S.

Well,CR turbos get around it by using a k04 outer casing so thats kinda cheating, but when i was in contact with JBS they said that i could either send them a k03 or a k03s for them to convert.

I belive for the CR turbos conversion its £581 inc vat thats assuming your old turbo is in good enough condition to re-use.

Do you have all the supporting mods to be able to run a hybrid?

Id expect high 280`s plus tbh.

I wouldnt bother getting a custom map before you go hybrid as you`ll only need it mapped again.

Your gunna need :

TB exhaust
FMIC
TIP
Big air filter (optinal)
TT/LCR injectors
Uprated exhaust manifold (optional)
Custom map to suit.

I think thats everything.

And then theres the extras like an LSD and WM injection.

I am pretty sure the K03s is exactly the same housing as the k03, however only difference is that the k03s has few but larger blades which produces little more pressure...so wouldn;t really make a difference.

A decent K03s is approx 230-240 bhp. Mine is 238bhp on revo stg 2 (Boost 6, Timing 6)

A sorted K03 Hybrid is gonna be 280hp +. Matner has just had his done - although is he is keeping very quiet about it for some reason !? lol

He made good bhp and torque figures at rs tuning with a custom map
