I've done a search but without much luck really, so, I'm going to ask on a new thread incase anybody has some new photos.

Does anybody have a photo of a Flash Red Leon Cupra R with just the rear windows tinted (Pref around 35% VLT) and the fronts left untinted?

Thanks all :)

don't have pics ATM, ill get some up later (but its a silver FR, not a red CR)

looks good. a friend of mine has the same on his red FR, looks fine.

why not do the fronts light tints? I don't know percentages but here they're labelled 00 to 03, with 00 being transparent and 03 limo black tint. I had my car 01 on the fronts and 02 on the rears

It is illegal to have any of the front windows tinted. The maximum tint on the front is 30% and you'll find that the window, from the manufacturer, is already tinted. Once you put the lightest tint on they become illegal.

As an enforcement agency, we can issue prohibitions and get the driver to remove the tints on the front windows. The Police however can also issue prohibitions but that will include a fixed penalty notice and if they are heavily tinted, wil result it in being endorsed.

IF an insurance assesor spots it they won't pay out, so if it got spotted at the scene of an accident you could find things turning very nasty...............

the law has changed to aftermarket window tinting, the 30% rule on the front windows doesnt apply anymore. Any aftermarket window tinting is illegal now on the front windows, I found this out after doing lots of research. Apparently there is a way around it where they fit a UV film which gives a very slight tint and then just limo blacking out the rears to dark it all out. Sounds a bit iffy to me. I probably wouldnt risk getting any tints on the front whatsoever. £30 a fine each time, or being told to remove the tints there and then doesnt sound too appealing.

few of mine mate,

its illegal to put any tint on your fronts, if you have a look at the stamp it says 70% min which is the legal limit,

mine has light on front medium on the rears and dark on the back window.

You have just said its illegal and then say you have light tints on the front? Like I said before your windows come tinted as standard and normally to the maximum of 30%. As soon as you put on the lightest tint there is they become illegal.
