hi you need to get your ecu read to see if you have any fault codes logged the most likely cause will be
the turbo overboosting causing the vehicle to go into limp mode, VNT mechinism sticks on the turbo easy fix if thats the fault though, dtc stored should be boost related faults.

I have the same car as yourself, although mine isn't remaped 'YET', the same thing happened to mine, I put my foot down going up a hill and suddenly lost power, the turbo stopped working, I pulled over and turned the engine off, couldn't see anything obvious under the bonnet, started it again and it was back to normal, I went straight to the garage where my friend works as a mechanic, they are voltswagon specialists, he plugged the computer in and it showed no faults, he basically said that there are 2 fins that open and close inside the turbo, he said that they havent worked properly, hence why I lost all power, he said that this was something he would expect from a car that had done 100,000 miles or so, but was very rare on mine, as I have only done 40,000, he put some stuff in my fuel tank, to flush any crap through the system, I havent had any problems since!!!
If it ever happens, just switch your engine off and then restart it, as it resets itself!!!

Could you give me a little info about your car, which remap have you got on your Cupra? I am thinking of going with Revo, what is our car like to drive after it's been remaped? Is it really worth it? have you had any problems with your clutch slipping yet? if you have an upgraded clutch, which one did you get? Which insurance company are you with and how much did your premium go up by after the remap, I rang my insurance up to find out, which is Admiral and they said that they wouldn't insure my car anymore if I had a remap done!!

It would be nice to get some info from someone who has the same car as myself!:D

Many Thanks
Chris

Mine is beginning to feel a bit flat, I have a feeling its the MAF.

I used to work at GSF and sold TDI MAFs all day, I'm going to try and get a log on it and go from there.

I've had Revo on mine for over 4 years now, its really good. My clutch is still fine and the power delivery is better described as "warp speed"! I turn mine off in the cold and wet months as the car spins the wheels up a lot, but in the dry, its brilliant!
