Im 20. Just brought a 57 leon tdi fr 170. Seat quoted 5300 to insure, but have found it cheeper at 850 full com, me and my 20 year old girlfriend. ive got 3 points and she's a student. I didnt think that was too bad considering i just paid 14.5k for the car.

I'm 22 now, was 21 when I got my 07 Leon FR 2.0T... It's a company car tho, so my car *has* to have 4 doors... so this fits the bill, all the while being quite nippy!! :D

Hi, not long 25 here and felt it was time for a newer, nicer and nippier car.

As for insurance, with my 56 plate corsa 1.7diesel (62HP) i was £540/pa with More Than for me and my fiance, both clean licences, both 1 year full year no claims history (only owned a car for 1.5 years)

More Than wanted about £50 extra for a FR 170 for the next 6 months untill end of policy. Hopefully then things will fall as ill have 2 years no claims.

Perhaps somebody should start a poll (i dont know how) on the age thing as 15 pages of posts isnt so easy to read...

Hi,

mods moved the poll as it was not related to this forum which is probs fair enough. I mis-titled it as it was supposed to be a poll of leon mk2 oweners as opposed to forum users.

I have mucked it up anyway by making things ambiguous for 30, 40, 50 year olds, aswell as anybody over 60. Apologies to these people, i know you have enough going on without the dilema of where to vote.

read 30-40 as 31-40,
40-50 and 41-50 etc and if your over 60, then the 60+ is for you.

Link is here:

http://www.SEATCupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=193548&goto=newpost

If anybody want to try again in this forum with a mk2 specific vote, feel free - im too scared and ashamed of my past errors to try again..

Stuart

EDIT:

Mod DJP has changed the numbers so pretty much ignore all i said above and go to the link if you wanna vote in the age thing which all started out quite simply then got complicated.

I'm a pup at 19 (20 in less than a month though) and driving a Mk1 Leon 20vt "sport".

Insurance is pretty reasonable I think for a 180bhp, group 16 car, at £70 a month fully comp!
