Top speed of LCR?

i had 153 indicated on spedo last night on way home back to uk from germany but sat nav said 149. that was only at about 6000rpm.... but i dont think would do much more..... would the standard split valve be leaking an would that be why couldnt get it to 6500rpm.... also would my induction kit be sucking in hot air? goin back to germany in few weeks so of can find a few weeks an want to no what got to do to hit 160 + mark.....

i could only manage 140 on a runway the otherday and mine is remapped,stage 1,im realy disapointed and am wandering if something is wrong with the car?

tbh there is no point that must drink crazy amounts of fuel in the process!

Mine hit 160mph on the clock on Kerpen Autobahn (Germany) last weekend, still had a bit more to go.. remapped and wmi so temps not really a problem

Dont think it will be long before this one does tbh excessive speed is not wise to advertise the fact especially pictures of speedos!!!!!!!

Ive had 100mph out of it but obviously it can do more.

I could see the problem if it was talking about UK public roads, but mine specifically asked about people experiences on the German Autobahns and/or tracks and advice on such legal places to go try.

Nothing wrong or illegal about wanting to try top out my car, but I don't want to do it on the motorway I want to do it somewhere legal and preferably the closest to home. Obviously the track with the longest straight!

It's an interesting fact to know...I guess. Pub talk really, bragging rights or just wanting to know what the car is capable of on a track if that's a route you plan to take.? Personally the biggest thrill about driving a fast car is how quick you can launch it to 100mph and the excitement of the acceleration, after that I generally get bored. I wouldn't want to try on our roads though, i'm petrified that the state of them will cause me to crash or there will be a speed camera somewhere.

Surprised the fuel gauge needle isn't blurry.

was one of my pals that took pic an when in germany in army dont pay tax on fuel so its cheap as and the needle did move a lot that journey .
