coil light on 130 tdi

what does the coil light mean on a diesel because mine is flashing anyone had this before??

imo they used the most stupid sign possible... when it happend to me i though feck! somthing wrong with the plugs (which is probably the worst place to have a fault)..

but it was just a faulty brake light bulb

check the user's manual. It says a flashing coil light means there's a fault with the engine management system. Should take it the dealers asap.

I had this about 6 moths ago. I plugged in vag-com and it said intermittent brake light failure. Not had it since and my lights have been fine (I think). Although, my right headlight has stopped working recently but I've had no lights come on. Changed the bulb, it worked for a bit then stopped working again. Gonna have a proper look at the weekend.
