A Few Bora Code

Right then, a lad at work said his brake switch keeps playing up. Sometimes the brake lights come on, sometimes not, and sometimes they stay on.

Anyway, ran a quick scan over the car and have the following faults:

16955 - Brake Switch (F): Implausable Signal
P0571 - 35-10 --- Intermittent


17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
P1570 - 35-10 --- Intermittent


The other codes say I need to register. these are:

17965 & 17664

AFAIK these are:

17664 - Engine Coolant Temp. Circ Open/Short to b+
17965 - Charge Pressure Contr. Positive Deviation

Anyone know the cures for any of these? I guess the brake one is a case of a new switch???

I have the same prob at the mo. I've got the brake switch but aint had the time to fit it. Will try on thursday when I'm off. It was only like £10.50 delivered off Ted Johnstone.
