Revo Stage 2+ Cupra requirements for development are:

Full Turbo back exhaust system - Check!
Enhanced CAI - Check!
High Pressure Fuel Pump - Was due to arrive Wednesday, but it was early. Installed Today, Check!
Updated Intercooler - Being installed 27/10/08

The only week point in my set up may be the Carbonio from speaking to a few on here via PM - Whats everyone else think? I chose the Forge Twintercooler over the APR and S3 ones for 3 reasons in case anyone asks... A FMIC that you can see looks pretty cool, I can tell ppl it's twin intercooled, and I can also use the S3 intercooler along side it at a later date. That will be some cooling! [B)]

I think my cars there for the stage 2+ come next Monday. Is REVO still interested? I will happily give them the "VXR Muncher"!:funk:

I'd say the Carbonio was the weak link in your chain, mine's the same spec as yours, with the exception of my Dbilas CAI, mine would have had stage 2+ by now, but lack of funds has prevented me from fitting an uprated IC, the really annoying thing is that I'm owed approx 4K by various people, who've got good jobs, but none can pay a penny of it back atm....

is the uprated intercooler really needed for the stage 2?
or is it more of a "just in case" requirement?

It is recommended. An improved intercooler means everything runs that much cooler and more importantly recovers much faster.

A more efficient IC helps to sustain high boost and reduces the heatsoak, where otherwise the ECU would pull everything back to stop stuff getting cooked.

Can you tell a bit more about the High Pressure Fuel Pump - Brand, Prices, Specs? A lot of people - including me - blame the fuel pump about the misfires. Can you tell me more about the pump you're installing.

The fuel pump is made by Autotech (From the USA). It was designed for the MK.V GTI. It's not much to show for your £280, as it's just replacement internals for your stock fuel pump really. I dont have any specs to give, as I can't find it on thier website!

It has gave a very noticable gain in the mid-range, but not as much as those with the APR map would gain. REVO is almost there though! The missfire issue could be related to the stock fuel pump, but would only really be an issue if you mapped the car? In standard form, the 3 bar pressure supply by the stock pump is more than enough.

I thought pinking/knocking would have been more of an issue as the engine can run to lean? Just my 2p's worth ;)

They are gonna develop it with their own 08 K1 Cupra I think, but thats not to say there wont be code for 07 and 08 cars.

There are a few cars with the high spec now, and the high spec does not include a Carbonio - instead something like a Dbilas.

I hope you get it sorted soon. It would be nice to see it in action on a RR.

I went with Custom-Code and they developed the Phase 2+ using my car. I too have similar mods to the OP.

Full TBE
Autotech HPFP
Carbonio
Forge Twintercooler
Forge DV

Last RR I went on saw 333bhp and 335lbft from my DSG boxed car!!

I'm sure Revo will be planning on beating those figures.[B)]

All good things.....

We are working on it guys, you know how we roll. We won’t just release it Willy nilly, proper R&D takes time! You want the best code on the market and that’s what we will give you. (Others say it but we do it)! We will put in the required effort to achieve it, that’s why globally we are the Number 1 VAG tuner! There is lots of development underway as we speak. I am pleased to say that there is no misfire issue on my K1 any longer, I am running stage 2 at the moment and have not fitted the Fuel pump yet. I had a turbo back Milltek fitted and no more misfires for me. The car feels feels really strong , sounds great handles better (KW V3's) and the 2+ is going to be the icing on a very tasty cake!

Coming soon, watch this space!

Revo Martyn what about stage 1 revo and leon cupra MY09. Many people with MY08 cupra had missfires due to the factory pump even with stage 1. Have you notice any changes on how the program responds on latest models? I am thinking in revo'ing my MY09 leon cupra with stage 1. What do you suggest are the necessary changes for a proper revo stage 1 + 2 setting cost aside?

Posted above already bud.

The misfires are not caused by the fuel pump by the way.

Stage 1 needs the car, some free time to go to your nearest dealer and a bit of spare cash. The dealer will see if your car suffers from the misfire and should adjust the settings to suit.

Stage 2 needs the Full Exhaust, you should look at a good intake and intercooler to compliment it if you have the spare cash. Or add them when you can.

Get stage 1, then get the exhaust, then get the £50+vat stage 2 upgrade, then the intercooler and intake. Do it at a pace that suits you and your budget. If you need any help finding a local dealer, let me know.

Thanks for the reply Revo Martyn.

BTW You must have received an email from a Greek guy from the greek seatclub.gr regarding what may cause the misfires. Do you have a definite answer about that, because the Greek revo dealer is somewhat unsure about what causes it (the question goes to djhorace as well).

Thats for the update Revo Martyn, you must have a ETA on this code being made avaliable? Are we talking about a 2008 release at all? If it's release date is not to far away, I'll sort out my CAI for a better one, so I can be running the code on day 1 of release!

Hi martyn. I read your message regarding stage 1 and stage 2 revo. I have already got stage 1 revoand a full turbo back miltek. What sort of bhp does the £50+VAT upgrade give? And also what would be recommended as a good intake and intercooler.

Cheers

With regards to the misfire, testing is ongoing. My car is OK at the moment but some people have reported misfires with the same spec. There is more than one factor causing the problem and we are looking into them all. We will be keeping an eye on my car and playing with it over the following weeks. Stage 2 has never had an official Dyno yet, it is variable depending on the other upgraded parts used. We have had all sorts of wild figures reported by customers using different dyno's and build specs. Rather than just quote the highest figure like some of our competitors, we will publish an achievable figure once we have all the info and tested it ourselves. We have only tuned these cars live on the road at present so we have set them up for drivability, they feel very strong.

For this reason we have another car for the 2+ tuning, the file will be released in the next couple of weeks. The Forge twintercooler is worth looking at, we are using ATP intakes on the stage 3 (3071R kits) so I would go with that.

I hope that helps
