Looks like a quality piece of kit anyway. Need to go to bed before I have another beer and go buy a Forge to match up with the S3 cooler lol.

As I said Al the other day, gives me some scope to go to the next level if I want to at a later stage. Its a quality bit of kit though, very pleased. Whether I'll see any change in the figures is yet to be seen. But now at least it has everything the APR S3/Ed30 upgrade kit offers. So it should be producing good figures, if not then we'll get into APR's ribs about looking at my software again.

Just thinking about how you say it pulls more cleanly. I noticed on mine that initial boost was higher with the bigger intercooler fitted. I wonder if the bigger volume of the APR core cuts this down a little?

Maybe we'll have to see. They recommend their IC as part of their S3/Ed30 upgrade kit for K03 cars. Those cars in the states have been seeing fairly good figures.

It doesn't feel any less powerful than before, the only way I can describe the change is the smoothness in which it is now boosting. Before it could seem a little harsh like it was holding back a bit on full chat. But now it just seems to get up the rev band really effortlessly.

I give it some beans on the way home, and every time i gave it some right foot on a couple of occasion and it performed exactly the same way, just nice quick and smooth right to the redline.

I aim to do some logging though and see how its performing overall.

I am gonna log mine too in the near future too. I suppose one thing in my favour is that being in the frozen north, we have less need to keep things cool as the hottest summer days dont see much past 20oC .

Glad you are happy with it Mark. Nice one :)

I am on the RR. Well i'm on the list to run as well as go for chin wag. Would be rude not to, it's only 10 minutes from home it's even nearer than Awesome. :)

try and post your graphs up. would be interesting to see if theres much difference before you get them to tweak the map (because you know you will[B)])

While Jim was hard at work. I took the opportunity to get underneath my car and snap some shots of the exhaust which I missed out on when they fitted it earlier in the year.

Sorry it's a bit muddy in places, it has been on a few months now. :cartman:

Hard to get a proper shot of the downpipe cause of the light, but that bend off the CAT leads right up to the turbo, no more bends or restrictions after that point other than the end bit which turns onto the turbo itself. My lens is bit rubbish and even with the aperture wide open there wasn't enough light to see it.

Thats interesting. Non resonated too, right? Cant see the back end of it there, but there is no silencer in the middle section.

How does it sound against the Milltek or havent you had a chance to compare yet?

Would be really interesting to see someone take a Cupra and compare different exhausts and intakes etc. You got a pic of the tail piece on the car?

Well it was their quiet one. :cartman: The Stealth they called it, but if i was painted bright pink with a lit road cone on my head I would be more stealthy. :)

It's quite boomy at low speeds, but better when on full chat. They have since introduced this new RSC technology that cancels out the resonance. Jim said he may see if they can do an exchange for the back section.

If not I can live with it, I don't do a lot of miles anyway and when your cruising on the motorway in 6th it's fine. Just slowing gearing down etc it drones a bit. But on full chat it more like a jet engine sound. It sounds fantastic.

Tailpipe is twin exit.

Well last time it came up with 316hp and 335ft-lbs at Prosport. It had all the same modifications except the uprated intercooler.

So we'll have to see, Prosport's cooling is not really upto the same level as Awesome's to be honest. But it made fairly equal figures but their readings are a bit different their hp figures are german ps. So my 316 figure was more like 311 in DIN figures.

I obviously hope for a bit more power, but how much that will be I wouldn't want to speculate really. But hopefully no worse than before. :headhurt:

While I think the APR core will help with a higher figure on this next r/r, I think you will find that its the intake that will give you the last big step up for the stock turbo mate based on what is available for the car just now.

Aye, well I'll have to consider my options. I'm interested to see what Forge do with their revised intake kit. But then I might go mad and just order a Dbilas anyway.
