Did a few bits over the past few days.

On thursday night my battery decided to die so on friday I bought a new battery and put it in the car. dont know if its just me but on saturday night I drove it and I swear it was alot more responsive etc. Probably just me. But I had sooo much fun driving it. Plus I got the chance to use my hids in the dark, Im really impressed with them.

Also got my boot build finished. Its nothing special, just simple but it hides all the wiring etc. And it doesnt half sound good aswell!! :funk:

Right I'm struggling for ideas about what to next. Ive been thinking spacers but I'm after some recommendations about them.

Im also considering putting the standard grille back on but painting the badge on the front, as well as the rear one. After that I'm stuck.

Im keeping this car for a while yet. Had the best 3 days driving it, had so much fun driving it. When I got out I had a massive grin on my face!! :D

Set of spacers will make it even better!!

Oh and I had abit of fun with a saxo vtr and I have to say the saxo was disappointing. My little 1.4 Ibiza was so much better in and out of the corners and had better traction.

At the minute I love my car, everything is working fine, nothing is broken and its so fun to drive. Only problem is my knocking exhaust but thats nothing really.

Right Im thinking of painting the "S" badge on the back of the car, but Im stuck on what colour.

Im down to 3 colours: black, White (Car colour) or an anthracite/gun-metal colour. I aint sure about black because its already been done.

Can someone do a photoshop for me. Im thinking of doing the mirror covers and the front foglight cover things the same colour. But I was going to get a set of the gti foglight covers that are primed for that.

So many decisions?!

And Im going to fit a switch to the remote/switch wire coming from my headunit to my amp. Reason for it is that I dont use the amp and sub all the time, so if I do that it will only be on when I want it to be, so it will only take power from the battery when I want it to be on.

i done white but unless you can mask up the back and only paint the chrome it looks lame, gun metal will be cool...use etching primer first tho

Right over the last few days Ive been really considering getting rid and getting a mk3/4 cupra or a Leon Cupra.

But I was checking my oil etc tonight and when I looked in my clean-ish engine bay and saw the strut brace, hid ballast and strut top covers, I just cant get rid of it. Not with all the money I've spent on it.

The above isnt the only reason,if it was just a weekend car then I would probably get a mk3/4 cupra or a Leon but its pretty much an everyday car and its good on fuel etc for that purpose. I would use loads of fuel in a cupra because I would just drive it 'spirited' everytime I use it, which would be alright for weekends, but not everyday. I use it for college once a week and that a 100 mile round trip so it isnt costing me loads in fuel. I finish my apprenticeship in June so I think I will do an engine conversion of some sort as the shell is in quite good condition for the age it is.

I would keep it until your in the position to enjoy a Leon/Ibiza Cupra as an everyday car. I thought i was in that position when i took on the Cordy, turns out i wasn't. Making the jump from a warm hatch like my GTi to a hot hatch like a 16v or a turbo can be expensive in terms of parts, fuel, insurance and if its 2001+ tax also.
