I do believe Miles and Ken may have some rather decent 'mid-accident' shots.

Not the best shots as I had a post infront of me and didn't have huge amounts of time to react before the buffer filled up, but here we go...

Just got back from Worcester, watched the race on sky+ this evening and my word there were some great crashes. Gutted I missed this and sad that its all come to an end for Seat Sport. I was impressed by Adam Jones performance today and he definately gets my support for the next BTCC. Hopefully we can do something similar for the WTCC when that comes around :D Drum up lots of support for the seat team. Cracking pictures too ! You all featured nicely in some of the TV footage and all looked ace parked together. Gave them a seeing off they deserved - Well done guys and girls. Made enough noise to make me smile. Still thinking about it does upset me - welling eyes ................... :(

I'll share some of the other pics I've taken later on today when I've more time to do a proper post, but I hope everybody signed Stu's thing as I think it went down rather well...

Morning guys,

I just wanted to add my bit as it was my first SCN event and we had a fantastic day. It was good to meet up with some of you.

SEAT will be greatly missed in th BTCC but I will still proudly drive my yellow Leon around (B3 LSY, it was me who waved at you in the queue for the Dartford tunnel...) even though it was a 3.5 hour drive back to Derbyshire, but well worth it!

I also agree with m0rk that as an event it was up there with the Masters at Donington.

What was Stu's thing that needed signing?

The John George crash was the biggest real life crash I have ever seen and quite scary when you see it happen right in front of you. Adam Jones was lucky that the same thing didn't happen to him.

I didn't realise that the Cupra championship was finished as well. I assume it is just finished on the TOCA package and that the cars will continue racing in a different series like the old ones.

Any idea if Plato or Turner have sorted drives for next year?

Cheers,

An emotional end to a fantastic journey.

Hopefully all enjoyed the catering, and a big thank you to all that helped, those that buttered the baps, sourced the pig, went to aldi for the Nibbles ! without your help it wouldnt off happend. And we raised a nice amount of money for worth while charities. A big thank you to Olaf for the £65 he donated for the sale of Air Horns, it was really appreciated.

I wish we had a competition for the loudest Air Horn..... !

We we still be there next year, who knows what the SCN Corporate Hospitality run by the Seat Barmy Army ( Name could be changed ) could bring.....

Yep - me and Stroppy are going to try and make it to as many rounds as we can next year, and perhaps start camping over for some of the further away tracks :)

Phil - I'm sure you had the loudest horn

Someone was letting one off in the Dartford Tunnel on the way back as well

Big thanks to everyone that made it a great day, and a great send-off for SEAT Sport UK

Just because seat are not participating anymore doesnt mean I will stop going. Adam Jones will get my support - or Skoda ;) If they do end up joining in. Im going to watch the trucks in november which should be a giggle. Im dead proud of you all for the turn-out, noise and showing the guys at seat off in a proper SCN fashion - you big nut nuts !!!

I hope Turner stays in BTCC, but he can always fall back on his GT driving - personally I'd love NorthernSouth to run as independents with the same cars and keep Turner and Plato as drivers :cartman:

The engines are rented from Spain Seat Sport are they not? So if NorthernSouth were to run the cars as independants, they might be able to resurrect the petrol engine from 2007 :) not more tyre issues :)
