At night time the dash looks nice lit up red but I think some 6" red neons or leds would set it off nice.

Anyone done any sort of lighting in their car yet or better yet a tutorial to do it!!!

I can't find anything on them anywhere for the mk2.

cheers!

I started a post about this a few months ago, asking for the same kind of thing. The over-riding feeling was that LED's would be best.

By the way if you have the convenience pack there are 2 extra lights beneth the mirror that illuminate the gear level at night and that looks really cool.

Totally agree - looks very cool :)

I kind of like the idea of the red LEDs in the footwell too - it would light up my GTi pedals great :D

Do you know if its the same mirror as in a car without the pack?

Ive seen such LED's in a BMW 325 and it looks good and is great when you drop a sweet!

Perhaps the supply for one or two LED's would go throught he mirror ball joint if its hollow.

Anybody removed the mirror?
