Not much has happen as of late. Got my struts changed and rear strut brace fitted last thursday (pics to follow). Got this today though.

Sorry about the poor quality photo, only have my phone on me just now.

No advisories or anything, which tbh, I wasnt expecting. Just needed my headlights re-aligned as they were sitting to low, but they were just adjusted and passed.

So next plan is to get the carbon decals on, a good wash and polish. May make a start on my engine bay (weather permitting.). My HID's are on order and were posted out today so I will be expecting them soon.

Over the last few months Ive been debating about getting a gti or not, but Ive decided to keep my current Ibiza (1.4).

Some people may say I'm mad as I've just turned 21 and I'm keeping the 1.4 but I have several reasons:

1) Ive just spent around £500 on it getting stuff done, brakes, 4 new tyres etc. Plus I have just got a new set of rear shocks through warrenty.

2) Its pretty much an everyday car and it isnt costing me loads to run, even if I drive with a heavy right foot.

3) I just cant face selling it just yet

So the plan is to get it looking pretty much mint. Get any dents etc removed and possibly a front end/whole respray.

But for the time being Ive got a new tax disc holder to put in:

Ive got a black one.

Ive got my carbon effect B-pillar and tailgate decals on order which will be going on when I get them. Im putting in a white interior light bulb and planning to get white numberplate bulbs and still considering a set of HID's. And its going in next thursday to the the rear shocks changed and the strut brace fitted.

Thats all for now but I will keep updated as I do other things.

Thanks all, Craig.

I know what ya mean, really dont wanna sell my 96 1.8 GTi but can only have one lol, not so much for the lower engines but i envy ur fuel bill we mine lol hope it works for ya chief

Just thought Id give everyone abit of an update. Started cleaning my engine bay, got most of it done but as usual rain stopped it being finished.

Got all the carbon stuff on my car. Got my Richbrook tax disc holder in and I changed to bezel round the centre of my steering wheel to match it. Got my white interior bulb in but the whole unit will be changed for a gti one. Hid problem has been solved, just to fit and the white number plate bulbs to fit.

There will be a photo's once the car has been washed, its currently filthy.

Ive been thinking of selling the Ibiza and getting a mk3 Cupra or Leon but I just cant. Ive spent alot of money on it and dont want it to go to someone who will not look after it, i.e a boy racer who will just thrash it about and probably crash it within 6 months. I seriously have the mk2 bug and cant/wont get rid of it.

Looks sweet mate! First time i've seen pictures of it i think.

Exterior looks perfect, i think the only thing i'd do is paint the mirror covers.

Where's the sticker? On the rear number plate surround?

Thanks. It maybe looks perfect but when your up cos it aint. Stone chips a slight dent on the rear panel just by the door shut (passenger side) and the usual car park dents etc. Im thinking of painting the mirror covers tbh, been on my mind for a while. Still think it needs something.

Isnt on the rear number plate surround. I dont think anyone has had one in this place before.

Every car has dents and stone chips though. My bonnet and front bumper are in terrible condition, but they'll only get more chips if i got them painted.

Mirror covers for sure, maybe a GTi rear reflector?(although the black on looks good) GTi front light make a difference too i think.

I like how it looks though, just subtle little mods :)

I think Im going to stay with the black rear strip, helps break up the white abit and those headlights are staying on, just fitted a set of hids and the were a :censored: to do.

They are worth it though when you see them on!!

I know what you mean, but I just cant get rid of it. Hence why Im planning an engine conversion next summer. Probably go for a 1.8T unless I can get hold of and ABF lump and loom.

mine just has too much to do to make me want to keep it, if it was a gti i would but to get the extra power requires too much money and work that i can't do myself

new cupra should be good though, quick with good economy and i do like the look....providing there is the option for the black mouth of course:p
