Well its certainly is applied thicker than my previous Civic type-R after a couple of months the bonnet looked like a galaxy of white stars.lol

I think the quality of the paint is spot on, its just the thickness of it and the primer thats been used that is rubbish. My bonnet looks like someone shot it with a shotgun, but the rest is spot on, just needs quite a bit of tlc:D;)

Yes you get stone chips and they are more noticeable with it being black - but if you look after it, it'll look after you.

I'd like to think mine cleans up pretty well, and it's a 53 plate so been on the road a few years.

How can you post those pics and then say you want to go to white?! That looks stunning mate. Keep it black. ;)

Its all about how u look after black cars, my fr is my second black car and both had not been very well looked after in regaurds to paint protection ect, the key to keeping black cars looking like new is the way you wash them, 2 bucket was method and lambs wool wash mit all the way.

I use Autoglymm wash stuff, the green stuff that smells nice. With a sponge that's god knows how old.....dry then with old cotton t-shirts, slap a layer of Auto Glymm high definition wax on (highly recommended!) and would like to think my car comes up nice too! :D

You only get swirl marks if you dont rinse the car BEFORE you wash it.....mine has a few swirl marks from the previous owner.....car wash. :( But I do my best. :D

I'm taking that as a compliment and that you're not calling my car an old timer.

Cheers! :D

Black Magic has always looked alright on my car, it is 5 years old now and only the odd chip, which I have managed to touch up.

i use meguiars products. got wash mit, water magnet (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) all 3 step treatments, decent shampoo.

Car comes up brillient! however the ass who bought the car (me being second owner) has destroyed the paint.

Its near impossible to get it to a satisfying state. doors, bumpers and bonnet could do with a reblast.

Black Magic looks hot when its clean mind.

Red Rum i am completely jelous! I take pride in keeping the car looking good, but so disheartening that when you've done your best and it still looks shite close up.

Recommendations... southwest / midlands for a detailer then? I wouldnt want something which will just go back to standard after a few washes mind. I know of a few sprayers but not detailers. Id enjoy getting into that myself
