ign on, press button until you hear a 'bong'.
light should be out.
if not it may need a trip to the stealers.

tyre/wheel type doesnt matter a hapeth.

Did you get manual with your car?
A REAL man never reads a Manual..... I have never read a manual and have a cupboard full of perfectly good gadgets that obviously are defective to prove it!
My manual did however once fall open on the page about the tyre sensor and I held the button down like you said and not a peep from mine when i replaced my alloys....

Make sure tyre pressures are correct them press the reset button on the centre console for at least 10sec and the light should go out - unless you have a broken sensor /wire on the hub - then it is tripto the stealers. ..................................

why cant they burgle one from a showroom/demonstrator car for you and score a cheap brownie point into the process?
suggest it, and see what they say. would take, ooh, quarter of an hour, tops.

You can always turn it off via VAGCOM, do a search in google and am sure something will come up. I turned off the annoying seatbelt warning light so I can now put stuff on the passenger seat, that was using VAGCOM

still got the sensors in the wheels after fitting ?

used to get it a lot at renault - fitters ripped out the valve and sensors with it and put in normal ones before refitting

mind you they were as reliable as a train timetable had cars forever coming in for resets

Doesn't have sensors in the wheels.

It works by using the ABS sensor monitoring rotational speed, then compares it to all the other wheels, if one is out .. then it calls puncher.

Works great, but won't pick up slow loss in all 4 tyres (natural loss over time) - which a sensor inside the wheel would ...

quite a fine line of measurement then i guess

i wonder how they get around the confusion for ABS and traction/stability control then

mmm interesting

I can vouch for it working great. Detected my puncture straight away, just needed to make sure I reset the system once the new tyre was fitted.
