well if i didnt get a respray it would save me alot of hassle but im 80% sure i will  as from what i can remember the reason i felt like selling was because the bodywork began to go downhill! there is nothing better than a solid black mint car looks the danglies!

thanks for replies more pics soon :)

rather than a respray could you not have the car professionally machine poloished/detailed?? you're probably aware of it but take a look at www.detailingworld.co.uk for some examples of what can be achieved.
My cupra-r is solid black so know it can look supurb but it's a nightmare to keep on top of and it shows up every imperfection.
Lovin the car by the way, thought you were mad to want to sell it.

Yes I agree trying to sort everything out for mine at the mo, you know any detailers round Sussex rash? My car is crying out for it as they machine polished my new rear panel after my accident and theres massive polish/swirls marks looks so awful especially after claying it at the weekend!

Honestly mate, black CH's will look the nuts on a mint black cupra especially if you go through with the 18in idea. The only reason Biza's normally look stupid on them is that no one does the job properly by tucking the arches and going really low!!!

While im on, is your engine cover an ibiza job or from another 1.8T as mines had to be taken off due to it catching on the strut brace (despite hours of trimming)

mines all trimmed up and didnt have any problems at all no rubbing no fouling at all but ive had to trim more off today as ive added the much bigger boost pipe at the back and also redirected it so had to trim a bit of the back off so it doesnt touch that, also yes its the standard engine cover

im not a fan of black cars with black wheels not my cuppa tea BUT on white cars they look the nuts so cant get wheels till i decide what coulor body im going.

Pearl White ;)

With a blue tint :)

It would have to be a pearl. We've just re-sprayed a Mk2 Ibiza in work for a VAG company called TSR. They are putting a VR6 lump in it - but they've let themselves down by painting it just white. It looks ok....but not as good as it should! You NEED a pearl. There's a bloke down here goes to ALL our shows - he has a Corrado G60 (Rob FR on here I believe). He's painted his car Yamaha pearl white I believe. Looks AMAZING.

The pic really does it no favours at all.
