As some suggested it was the grommet for the clutch cable that had popped out of place that was causing my leak. So thanks to the people who helped.

Powerflex mounts wount make a difference to my knocking, 2 of the hangers are too close together. So I think that the angle grinder will be taken out to one of them.

Have your airpipes become disconnected?

i was just about to say that, mine got crushed inbetween the parcle shelf holder bit... worth having a check. the pump is in behind the carpet on drivers side of boot

When you buy a project cupra and struggle to get it to run properly, only to find out some some numpty has set the distributor timing 90 degrees out!!

Mk3 exhaust will still knock abit. Well mine is. Its the way the hangers are on both the exhaust and the car. Im thinking of taking the angle grinder to the one on the exhaust pipe and welding a new bit of bar on.

line up em properly and they don't - but be warned it's a VERY fine window to get it sweet

mine knocked once on first drive and never heard a peep since
