I had a P-Torque stage 1 remap at weekend, day 1 fine no probs at all, day 2, i start the car and for about 10 mins or so it just seems as though the car hasn't been mapped as it only boosts to about 9psi which is what it went to prior to the map. After that it seems to work fine and can boost to 19psi however at times it can revert back to just 9 again. (only now again)
I have had the car on Vag.Com and also had the car checked pre & post mapping and the only thing coming up on all is that the water temperature sensor is nakered. This has been for a while though i think as the guage hasn't worked and never had problems with that prior to the map.
I have had a conversation with Will at P-Torque who has been very helpful and by no means am i blaiming him, he has offered to have a look but he thinks its worth having a look at the N75 first. I know these can be tempremental and mine is now 8 years old. Could this be the problem and the sudden map and boost increase has caused it to bodge up.
Not sure what effects the temp sensor would have if any??? and i dont think its any pipes or leaks as it boosts to the old setting or the new one, if it was a leak i think it could be more erratic on the boost figures it is getting, if it were getting boost at all.
some info in case it helps, i have a forge 007dv, no n249 bypass, and the plugs were changed on the day to denso IK22's. There is no problems with Idling either.
I am tending to agree with Will unless there are any other ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated.
BTW after mapping, are most people just sticking with the standard N75 valve and on there any stickies on here of how to do this yourself as most people say 5 min job
