Falken 452 - replaced by the 912 !!!

Was enquiring today about some 452's and was told that they have been replaced by the 912's.... Has anyone tried the new 912's yet ???

Not sure about them being the 'replacement' rather than an alternative.

Got this from the UK site:

Asymmetric Performance tyre suitable for small to mid sized cars. New asymmetric pattern with 4 wide circumferential grooves making the ZE 912 an incredibly stable tyre at high speed, and under heavy braking. New lateral groove design creates significantly improved water displacement performance with higher land ratio on the outer blocks of the tread resulting in higher load handling when cornering. Typically suited to performance hatch backs, small to mid sized executive/family saloons and MPV's. Target vehicles include anything from 120 to 250bhp.

Was going to get a set of 452's when i get my new wheels but will hold fire for a while to see if they are being replaced or if the 912's are a new and improved alternative like Allan says.....

ho hum... I will get new wheels...... one day...... maybe :blink:

Lots of positive stuff on here for the 452s but not too much info on the new 912s which tend to be a few quid cheaper.

Has anyone dabbled with the 912s?

912's have been about for a while.

I have them and they aren't bad, although they don't have the wet weather grip of the 452.

My 452's were brilliant until they got worn down. 5 burnouts in Le Mans may not have helped :cartman:
