After months of searching for the right catch tank, i finally got it fitted today! The bracket bolted straight into the old battery bracket hole, and the pipework ran as i wanted it to. Well chuffed:)

As you can see from the pictures, the battery tray needs a tidy and re-paint. I also need to find a better location for the breather filter as it's just tucked behind the radiator at the moment.

I also got my inlet manifold back today so that will be on it the next few days and everything will be given a good clean!

I cant see how you've run that breather system, looks to me as it doesnt vent anywhere or have i missed something?

The hose from the oil filter housing goes straight to the catch tank?

The hose which used to go to the mushroom also goes to the catch tank?

If you want any pics of my setup let me know.

Liking the position and mounting of the tank tho, think thats the hardest thing to do!

There's a hose running from the y-piece (by the rocker cover) to the catch tank, then there's just a breather running off the outlet on the catch tank but it's tucked behind the front panel. It still needs a bit of work.

I'm happy with how well it mounted!

So you still have the connection to the manifold in place? Its under the mani.

I'd bin the whole system personally, have it all breathing through the catch tank.

When i ran it the way you have it, so its not goin to the tip it hardly picked up anything, but when i ran it all to the tank the amount of crap it picked up was unreal.

Nope there's nothing connecting it to the mani.

The breather pipe just runs infront of the manifold, you can see the little green filter in the picture between the mani and front panel, that's connected to the pipe that runs back to the catch tank. I need to re-locate the breather lower i think.

Oh yeah i can see the breather filter now, that thing is gonna get covered in **** tho, might be worth looking at routing it all via the tank and out somewhere lower in the engine bay.

I don't have any pictures on my intercooler install. If you look at Roly's thread, i think he took progress pictures when fitting his.

Yeah the plan is to get it lower and tucked out of the way. It was only put there as i was in a rush and couldn't figure anything else out!

I got round to fitting my injector shims back into the inlet manifold today then bolted it all up. I also fitted a freshly painted throttle body, a new power steering cap that i've sprayed matt black instead of satin black, a new dipstick tube also sprayed matt black, and a inlet front cover from a Leon Cupra R. Tucked the breather for the catch tank much lower too!

Just needs a good clean now and then i'm pretty happy with it!

Thanks Rich i'm really happy with it. I've still got to make a bracket for the air filter today, but the sun is getting to me! Hopefully it'll get a good clean later too and i can get some better pictures!
