Well I got my new gearknob in and fitted, it's an original Seat Sport part and I got it brand new for a reasonable price - I'm fairly impressed with it, just shame it doesen't have the 6-Speed markings on it. It's the yellow leather one.

Matches my dodgy dial surrounds, lol. :)

On an off-topic note, looking at those photos... the camera on the Nokia N95 is amazing! lol

Well folks, some more changes to the car.

I finally got the coilovers off and although the car isn't looking too great it feels so much better to drive and a lot less of hassle for everyday driving.

So with the suspension I got from Dave (fr-tdi) I fitted some new droplinks, top mounts and ARB bushes ... both of my front flexi brake hoses have been changed too.

So I got caught on my phone by the police, my own stupid fault and got chinned for my plates too... so the next week brought a Parrot Bluetooth Kit, New plates, three points and a £60 fine.

When I met Ross to VAG-COM his new car he was very fond of my FR mirrors and I quite liked the OEM Yellow ones... so a little swap went ahead there! :D

Alex bought my some TDI badges for my wings as I quite liked the idea as a thanks for fitting lights to the front of his car - I've popped them on too... here is a new look at the car.

Thanks go to my girlfriend Lynne for cleaning the inside of the car... I'm sure Alex will agree she done a good job! :)

Doesn't look too bad without the coilovers on...only thing I would say is that the rear wheels need spacing as they look like they're hiding in the arches.

The colour looks amazing....best onvi yellow that i've seen.

The TDI wing badges look larger than your boot TDI badge! I wanted the wing badges, but then thought that it'd be such a pain to wax etc around them. I need to get myself one of those rear wipers aswell...what car is the one you have off?

The TDI badges are bigger. I didn't realise when I bought them but hey its different!
Yep the car looks really clean now on the inside and the outside pity a bird promptly crapped on it on Sunday!

Altech - The rear wiper on the car at the moment is the one from a Mk6 Polo. It's a direct fit but the cap does need a little trimming so it won't foul the rear window or the spray angle. Won't take long, looks more modern and wipes nice and smooth compared to the OEM one.

Ross - Tell me about it, looks amazing lowered - all cars do... shame it wasn't too practical for my every day driving - yours will look spot on when I ever get them up to you, lol.

Alex - Will need to catch up for a cleaning session again soon - that's it filthy again!

Back again with some more changes folks, updated my original list on the first post of the thread too.

I ordered a facelift bumper from the lad on eBay that came with grills, and also ordered the foglights - seems the foglights have went missing in the post and the eBay seller is pissing about so I don't have them fitted.

Bumper was sprayed by a friends Dad - I told him to spray the middle bit black to give it a little bit of a difference from the usual facelift bumpers.

Below is a comparison photo, then one of the car on its own with the new bumper (Minus the fogs for the meantime).

And the other recent mod I made to the car was the fitting of the Cupra TDI gearknob... below are some photos of that.

Next thing I am looking at is the Cupra rear bumper ... following that I'll need to get my exhaust realigned to sit "right" in it.

Thoughts?

Great improvement mate. Colour match looks good too.

I cut down my front plate as well, Just have to be careful that the side margins are the same measurement as the top and bottom margins.

Can you not modify your pre-facelift foglights to fit?

How about gloss black mirror covers? Might look better than your yellow ones

One of my friends runs a shop that makes reg plates, when I was toying with the idea of making the bit behind it gloss black I thought a smaller plate might be a good idea - so popped in today and he knocked it together for me.

One of my current pre-facelift foglights is smashed ... it wasn't until I thought about changing it I thought would I change the bumper... so just done it now.

I'm not sure about the gloss black mirrors - but you have a point with the grills being black and also the bit behind the reg... I'll have a think about that one. :)

I want Octy vRS alloys really bad... I don't want to follow the same trend as everyone else but they are the best looking OEM wheels that fits IMO... will wait and see.
