Why I think the skirts need to go, is because it looks (from the pics) that they sits lower than the front and rear bumper.

The line between the bottom of the back of the skirt and the bottom of the frontmost part of the rear bumper is parallel with the bottom of the rear window. :D

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.

Are you talking about what I'm trying to point at in this pic? (Except the bit about the rear window.)

Hope it's not bottom heavy in real life. :D

That would be the easy answer (aside from doing nothing). I'd like to make it look distinctive without being an R copy (or an abortion  )

agreed on the individuality point

after I typed that i did wonder if it was just the angle of the picture, a side on shot may well prove otherwise.

i did start googling for leon side skirts, there are bloomin 000's though

Dave, looks really good.

I agree with everything that's been said - whale tail needs to go, bump strips would be nice gone, skirts I'm in two minds about. It looks so much better without the rear wing, the skirts don't look too bad on their own - but don't "match" the front and rear.

You said you liked the rear 1/3 of the skirts, though.

One reason I think it doesn't match at the front is the front splitter and the skirts are about the same height - but the splitter is black. I don't think painted splitters look good (too much colour on the front of the car).

So, why not make the lower bit of the skirts black (wide insulation tape, anyone?), mybe even just the front 1/3...

Or just junk them and fit facelift ones. Got to be easy to change.

The pics also remind me how nice the LCR front is

Cheers Phil. :) I said I didn't really like the rear 1/3 of the skirts.

I'll give the black insulation tape a try.

I think this is pretty much what they'd look like if you fitted facelift ones. All i did was black out the bottom 1/3rd of the skirt - the facelift ones are a little rounder and don't stick out quite so far.
