The box is the tightest i have ever had (ooo errrr misses) and if it was any shorter side to side i'd be scared of getting the wrong gear.

I have the short shift on the forwards/back throw and would recommend that to anyone.

Yeah, i had a pin made and it fits like this, but in hindsight you could easily copy the way it works with nuts/bolts.

i had front and back and side to side fitted.

it made VERY little difference side to side, just not worth it (i got it cheap off someone on here so fitted it) pretty pointless and dissopinting!

As is in my car of course :p

There really is no need for the side to side. Probably be more problematic.

LEE69, any notchyness on the gear change with the new pin? Have you tried adjusting the cable at all? Havent go round to trying it myself.

I've just done a DIY one with a threaded M10 hole in my shifter, an M10 bolt, 2 nuts and 2 washers - 30 mins work and what a difference :D definately a job worth doing. i was considered doing my side to side but after reading comments on here don't think I'll bother! cheers guys

Danny get a pic to show others just how simple a job it is :)If you can't thread the hole yourself get it done or drill it a touch bigger and use a bolt/nut combination :)

I'll stick some pics on in a bit. I'm now considering smooting my airbox.. (i've got 3 days leave from work leading up to the bank holiday :D) yep, an untreaded 10mm hole will be sufficient.
