why is texaco more expensive than anything else??

this morning:
texaco, 128.9
esso, 123.9
total 122.9
tesco 123.9
shell 122.9

dont really pay much attention to petrol prices, however i have noticed the gap between petrol and diesel is increasing :(

Same here in West Sussex. Texaco is consistently 3-4p more expensive for normal stuff! Gap for Derv/Petrol has been 11p for a while now.

Texaco also put their prices up on a friday afternoon as well.....

[edit]
would be nice when people say it is 123.9 or xxx.9
where they lived, as i see a few of these and it means feck all in general.
no location, may as well be 999.9

Wouldn't you just hate to own a mapped LCR right now :D

Tell me about it!

Ive fitted new iridium plugs recently which seem to have helped and I'm trying to drive more carefully on longer journeys, my typical tank has gone from 300-320miles to 350-370miles. I'd be pleased if I could get 400 from it.

But seriously guys, if you have diesels are you not looking into vegetable oil etc? I know I would be in your shoes ;)

What really bugs me is when the price of oil goes down we never see it at the pumps, it keeps getting nudged up and that's where it stays regardless, yet when the oil price goes up we see the increase instantly at the pumps. Really cheeses me off.

The esso garrage near mine has gone up to 129.9 now and if you go 4 miles down the road to morrisons it is 120.9. Bloody rediculous1

there has been various threads and chats about bio-fuel for diesel, but i'm still a bit dubious:(

would consider LPG conversion but don't know if you can with a diesel

only matter of time before they tax that and it's the same price anyway!!!

Wow, just started browsing the forums properly this week as the hunt for a mk1 Leon FR+ is on... Just spent the best part o this afternoon reading through this whole thread and currently driving an S4 (290 from a tank ON A GOOD WEEK!) i cant wait to hit 550 miles from one tank!!!! my monthly fuel bill is about the £300-£350 !!

That said, the whole petrol/Diesel price situation is getting beyond ridiculous. Nathanio, i'm jjust down the road from you in Worthing and those prices you're paying are Crazy!! the Shell East Field in Littlehampton is currently 120.9 if you're ever that far over this way?
