You spend every week thinking about all the things you have to fix on your car, but you still love it!

i just bought myself a MK2 ibiza 1.4s and after reading a few pages of this thread i dont know if i have done the right thing buying it lol
Are they really a costly motor or are people just writing this stuff for the fun of it (plz say you are :p)

Mine's not been costly by any means. Probably less than average. Just lots of wee cosmetic things mostly. I would buy another one without having to think about it. They are good cars and I'm sure you will enjoy it. :D

South Somerset =S Great?!
You know you have a mk2 ibiza when you go to the boot and you realize you forget to bring the key so you have to walk back to the drivers side, get the key out of the ignition, and walk back to the boot to open it! Surely a 'boot pop' button would solve it?!

Kitch,

Mine doesn't do that. The key barrel has two positions, one works with the central locking and the other works independently (i.e. you need to put the key in every time).

Hope that helps

You know you hve a mk2 when the slots in the seat runners are too far apart so you are either just sitting to close to the steering wheel and pedals or just too far away.

It pains me to have to hoover cause it means moving the seat. You don't normally realise this til you're actually driving, meaning an attempted seat slide while moving... :drive2: Not good.

I dont move the seat if i hoover now. I dont want to move the seat cos its in the perfect position. I only moved it 2 weekends ago as I was putting my new car mats in and they had fixings to go on the driver side to stop the mat sliding about.

The 1.5 Twin Cam's not bad either

used to have mazda company cars but 1.5 saloon was impressive - not gonna bloat what it did but lets just say in '94 the rep in the new cavalier Sri gave up and moved over eventually and came in 2 days later to buy one :lol:

mines being nice btw - sat patient with the odd fettle and attention to keep it happy just to let readers know it's not all bad news but it does keep whispering 'blow me':confused:
