lol. Fitting mine didn't take long. Just setting it right.

Phil. Carrying on from what we were talking about last night. I remember some symptoms i have which may not be relevant but my cat stinks! Really eggy. And to clarify if i check plugs and no oil on them. Should i still do compression test?

i did the compression test any way.
Test1
1) 157. 2) 160. 3) 165. 4) 172

Test2
1) 160. 2) 167. 3) 173. 4) 175

I dont if this is any good but both results were within 15psi from 1 to 4cylinders.

Any info or guidance would be great. Cheers guy's

Phil you know the situation and why im doing it but for the rest of u i am getting smoke when i floor it. Its turning my exhaust black almost straight after cleaning it. I dont know whats wrong. There was no oil on my plugs. I put new ones in as well today. Need to take a look at other options now. Ie turbo and anything else u guy's can think of.

If the exhaust is sooty black, then its obv running rich. Blue smoke is pretty light and easy to spot.

You said that you smelt eggs, possibly a coil on its way out.

thats what thought it was just over fueling. I put new plugs in today. The old ones did look a bit old and battered but i have had no running issues and i would hate to just buy coils when not needed. Phil mentioned taking off tip and having a feel to see if turbine is loose in turbo. See if there is play. That will probably be next. Myki did say that it looked blue about 3weeks ago. Problems problems problems!

And would it not be advisable to put sports cat on if its over fueling. Would i not ruin it?

mines running rich and its driving me nuts

my exhaust is also black, i hope its not fcukin up my cat, i feel like a right noob not being able to solve it, ive changed 4 coilpacks, maf, precat lambda, spark plugs were only changed 5k ago, my only clue left is a boost leak but have no idea where to even begin with that.
