Exactly, if the diesel cupra was 200hp then the petrol would have to be about 230hp to keep things even. And that wount happen.

I hope the ibiza will use the 2.0T though. 240hp with a remap, 300hp with some slight mods. :D

Mmmmm... the tired old 1.6 NA petrol engine? I'd have thought it would be an ideal candidate for the newer 1.4TSI 122bhp engine, or maybe they have a bunch of 1.6 engines to shift

After driving several hundred miles over last Saturday and Sunday it's become apparent my left knee is getting worse, especially with all the clutch work.
So, I'm hoping when the 3 door gets here there will be a better engine line-up and an automatic or two.
I prefer a manual (haven't driven an auto for about 20 years) but the knee dictates a shift to an auto box.

What a terrible looking chizzled brick of a car, do people not see how horrible it looks or is it just me?

It reminds me of the new Skoda Fabia with the grill, which is also butt ugly IMO. Kinda reminds me of those poor Jap cars they can't style design properly.

SEAT have seriously gone down hill with their design, marketing to a different crowd now.

WOOHOO! Looks like the Bocanegra is a go, according to Auto Express, with a 180bhp 1.4 Twin Turbo and the new 7speed DSG gearbox.

I want one :)

I hope the Bocanegra model looks more like the concept than the base model when it's put into production, what a stark contrast, for the better! Very Civic Type R-ish stance
