Sport coupe... we're not going to see a convertible one of these are we? The seat range does need a proper coupe tho.

It looks unresolved to me.

It's too tall for it's width. Again, perhaps the 3 door cupra will be lower and address the imbalance.

But, It's safe to say that if you have one. You won't be driving just another unremarkable shopping trolley for middle age women. Which is why we drive SEAT in the first place right?

I think in the flesh it looks lower than in the pictures its a very well balanced car in terms of looks in 5 door form although looks a little long.

there is a chance of the ibiza 3 door becoming a convertible as the polo will and the audi a1 will most likely too if it sells well.

Rumours suggest alfa will make a supermini called the racer, one with a 1.4 turbo with 180 hp and a bigger brother with a 1.8t with 230hp and it will come with a Limited Slip Differential.

Sounds like the Alfa MiTo. I can't see them bringing out anything else in the supermini sector as well as the new model. I have seen a provisional price listing for the MiTo too which does list a 1.8T among the engine line up, but doesn't give any detailed specs.
I know the Alfa 147 Q2 has the limited slip diff so maybe they'll release a hot GTA or Q2 version of the MiTo too, it's quite a looker.

Care to share the 'provisional price list' for the MiTo?
The pics I have seen are making me drool a little &
It is going to be a hard decision in a year or so between
a new beeza cupra or a MiTo!!!!

Typical! Can't find the original page I saw but here's a little more info with some likely Spanish prices.

http://abarthuk.com/category/alfa-mito/

Various flavours of the 1.4 TJet, 1.6MJet and new 1.8Turbo.

I'll wait for the Ibiza 3 door details to emerge so I can at least compare the two cars a bit. Shame that the Ibiza details I have seen so far indicate that they'll have the same engine line-up initially as the MK4. No 1.4TSI or new Common Rail TDi.....unless anyone knows dfferently?

Mmmm... 1.8Turbo? I am a little surprised the 1.8Turbo has not made it onto the Leon range in the UK as it has for European models, especially as it's been available on UK Skoda Octavias for a while now.

Very nice.

Yeah the racer is aka the mi.to. Its a very nice car but sadly I have not got the courage to buy a alfa with my own money. Im just hoping the Ibiza wont be overshown by the alfa's power.

Also on the diesel front mercedes are bringing out a supermini and they have a diesel engine that produces 500nm of torque and 200hp. I hope the upcoming new VAG diesel engine can produce that much torque.
