is it possible to get the song names e.g. ID3 tag on the mfd. i know it comes on the radio but just says track 1 folder 1 etc on the mfd. Radio works comes up with radio 1 etc

Tried searching but found nothing?

Hmm. Mine doesn't. I thought it might be the format of the tags, but it can't be that, coz the headunit itself displays the tags on the scrollbar no problem.

So.... why does yours show on the MFD, but mine not, if we've both got the same stereo?

I have the factory sat nav and can't even get the friggin track names on the head unit display! It's all been pretty lame for so much money and I know, I know I could have got a million times better after market but you live and learn

you are on about the display where it shows you which door is open and mpg etc?

Correct, like in post #2. I never see track names etc there. "Random" etc, but never the actual tags. If I press the ID3 button on the headunit, then the tags scroll on the stereo screen, but the text "ID3 Information" just appears on the MFD screen. Gotta be honest I've not tried a normal CD so no idea what happens with regards to CD Text display. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'd thought there must be a way to dispay the tags on the MFD coz what use is bleeding "ID3 Information" on the display instead?

I seen a few after market jobs on this site somewhere. They look very nice, load the maps into the head unit instead of using a :censored: cd and built in tv! Anyone know to a good tuner and or dvd player to hook into it as it has video in?

It does not make sense that in a cupra you have all this equipment and the facility to look at the 'audio' display on the MFD but it then won't display the track names. No use whatsoever when even the most basic leon has an MP3 player as standard!

surely someone out there must have overcome this or figured it out or updated the software or something??

thiese are pics of what happens on mine.

I switched to the audio mode on my MFD with my Alpine headunit and it got stuck there.. Wouldn't let me switch back! I tried stopping the car etc but still stuck on audio with no proper display there.. Was just about to disconnect the battery but tried opening the headunit. It switched back to the menu then. Last time I try to switch to audio on the MFD with an aftermarket headunit.. :)
