Honest opinion:

I think this car looks crap. Other forums are all slating it and I dont blame them. Flame surfacing all gone wrong. You cant have all those mad lines going along the side profile when the rest of the car is tame and grannyfied looking.

Also I have issues with the dash design, its too 90's looking in the layout. The center console should just have all been on the 1 same level if you know what I mean.

The back end of the car is bland, the front end is the same although I think it has huge potential. The mismatch of the grill is also getting to me.

This are my initial views, maybe once we get some real life pics of the car my opinion will change as I think press release pics of cars usually are crap at capturing a cars real beauty.

The seats look like the ones that are in the current ibiza.

I do like the steering wheel though.

i like the interior looks nice imo, overall the car looks nice but if they do the cupra like the bocanegra then it will be a winner for me

although looks like i am still aiming for a mk4 cupra tdi as my next motor

Yeah, got them in my Mk6.5 and thought the same!

Overall, the new car looks like a botch job to me. I think that's the result of 'globalisation'. THe Hyundai i30 rear, Kia Cee'd rear 1/4. And what's going on under the stereo with those boxes at the back of that cubby hole? Nice to see the fiddly climate controls have been continued over and the hazard warning switch is handy too.

Well done SEAT for coherent design.

as much as i hate to say this (sorry seat in advance)
thats absolutly aweful - side of a BMW, rear quarter of a 206, focus/astra shape - looks like a complete bodge/rush job

unless dramatic changes are made to the MK5 one will never live on my drive

kinda hoped it would be a smaller version of the new leon, and if it was id snap one up straight away - very dissapointed

Stop moaning everyone a designer can't come up with every detail of a car without looking at other cars. Your just trying to pick out pieces of the design which are "similar" to other cars whereas i think in real life they will not look quite so similar as you believe. And if you look at the front the general shape of the lights is almost along with the bocangera. In fact this ibiza really is fairly close to the bocangera in quite a few way's so i don't know what you all saying about i wish it was more like the bocangera.

theirs quiet alot of differences their if you look closely

Of course there is, did you really expect anything else?

Production cars are ALWAYS less dramatic than concepts as they have to appeal to a much wider audience than the car enthusiast. Can you really see many over 65's buying the Bocanegra??? I don't think so.

As has already been said, all the major lines are in place and with a body kit and nicer alloys I think it will look the nuts.

yes but it is how they implement the other design into thier one that counts....as said by most on here looking at this 'new ibiza' is like looking at a mis-match of other cars not even in the Vag range...

think about it.... the mk4 ibiza nd mk2 Leon have NO look alike counterparts....
i was hoping this mk5 ibiza was going to be a hit....

it definately is a miss for me...
