Must admit I was thinking about Mk2 Leon FR as my next car. If it's anything like my parents Altea FR 2.0 170 bhp diesel it'll be crap on fuel too.

i want the whole car, but as i'm poor i doubt that will happen, the new rims (or the old ones, either set was nice) the rear lights and the badgeless grille i would poach, that would make moi happy!

i had a altea loan car (pd100) that was pants to, maybe because its big, heavy and brick like?

Haha! Brick like!

I dunno. Even with it being a diesel you only get 40mpg average pretty much everywhere no matter what the sort of driving. It's pretty poor tbh. On the motorway it does 40mpg. Mine does mid to high 50's.

Dunno if it's cos it's a 2.0 litre not a 1.9 and if its because it has all the diesel particule filter on and catalyst AND silencers....

It sounds crap too. Doesnt sound like a diesel or a petrol. It doesnt pull as well as mine does either. Don't ever wanna let mine go if that's the future of SEAT diesels!

You can put your hand behind the exhaust pipe and you cant even tell it's running. Got so much crap on the exhaust - particule filters/silencers/cats!

Cos the exhaust stores all the smoke/soot and then burns it all off when it gets hot enough or something. You can't really remap them as the diesel particule filter is affected. I think it was Revo or someone similar that remapped the new diesel engine with the diesel particule filter on and it actually set the whole exhaust system alight! So they're basically unmodible too!

Haha! Put your hand behind my exhaust and have someone accelerate the engine and you'll spend the next hour cleaning your hand!

To be honest mines isn't bad at all... wouldn't say it was any better or worse than the other TDI's at the rolling road day.

Mine too! And it'll smell! But just on tickover you can tell mine's running! Apart from the stench.
