How much was that part?
You should be able to make one of those fairly easily.
Demon Tweeks sell 90º silicon hoses, and they also sell some sort of self taping take-off for silicon hoses.
Should work I guess.
What diameter is the inlet?

Or, even easier you can buy a t-piece in silicon and take the DV from there.

£40 isn't bad I suppose, but a silicon hose is £18!

my induction kit

I have fitted the K&N Typhoon kitted have had it on for nearly 3 months now.
And i must say its amazin the noise is fantastic my friends all comment on it when i drive past i say it sounds like it could suck passing kids in to the engine.
As for perfomance it improves the total pull of the car through the revs also from the line the intial burst of torque is well improved.
I would recomend this induction kit to anyone.
I have it fitted to a fr tfsi.

HEY up Dan GB.
I have this kit fitted to my Leon Fr also my friend has the same one fitted to his Leon cupra Mk2 and he has said to me it fitted with no problem at all.

Hmm maybe im wrong then.

I don't get it though, as on the cupra, as the DV is remotely located, it has an extra pipe coming out of the air intake system.

See this picture:
http://www.seatcupra.net/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=14061

That pipe comes out of where a replacement air intake would be.

the only products that I know accomodate this are the forge intake (which you have to buy a sepreate attachement) and the Dbilas intake which has been designed for this.

How easy is it to fit?
can a novice fit it?

hey there.
The induction kit cost me 230 euro as im based in germany.
And the garge fitted it for free as i good friends with them.
But they said normally it would cost 50 euro to fit about 35 pound.
Took them about 30 mins to fit but it was nothing hard i was just not going to turn down a free fitting.
