I've never been checking blind spots in my car as much as I do now .
But seriously, I recon everyone should go and do a full bike test, even if they don't plan on riding a motorbike afterwards. I do believe it makes you a better driver overall. I know biking isn't all smiles, especially when every bike forum has an RIP section :(, but you need to take life with a pinch of salt.

Well said that man couldn't agree more!

I've got a full power ranger suit, back protector and a good Shoei helmet to help reduce the chances of me becoming a statistic.

Good to hear sensible boy, well as much as you can be on a bike with nearly 100hp

glad to hear you have got all the gear to go with the bike. it does get messy if not. i got hit by a car and only had my protective jacket on and normal trousers and gashed my shin up nicely. broke both the bones in my arm to and crack my shin!

Ouch hope it all's healed ok, It actually annoys me you can be fined for not wearing a seatbelt in a big metal box but theres no law saying you must ride with any more on than just a helmet on, no offence but going out on any bike without at least full leathers on is crazy sliding 15 yards will take 2 layers of skin off!

Motorbikes - Not gonna catch me on one. It's not usually the rider that causes the accident its the motorist who doesn't see them. My friend who is a paramedic has told me a few stomach turning grizzly endings that he has come across and my step brother lost his gf in one.

Yes homocyclists might have better road sense but you still look like tits in Power Ranger suit's :D

Stick to 4 wheels :)

Polo looks alright for a Polo, never gonna look as good as a mk2 Ibiza ;)

makes me want a bike lol

reckon you could do me an image like that if i pm you the original (or email)

Yes mate, but make it as high resolution as possible. The bigger the file size the better. In an ideal world, you make HDR photos using one normal photo, one underexposed (-2) and one overexposed (+2).

Good boy Dave, good boy.

Well done on getting your proper kit first as well. Thats what I did. I had a 2pc SPIDI leathers, A* gloves, back protector (would recommend getting one), Shoei lid and Sidi boots before I had even done my theory test, lol. Your mum will never probably get over it, but as the months go by she will start excepting it. Just tell her, that for all you know you might not even like biking, and that you might decide to sell the bike, but you just won't know until you've tried it.

Good luck with all your future coming tests. Will have to chat on MSN again one day.
