Brembo brake upgrade

No, plus dealer fitting! Thought the Seat ones on the Cupra were meant to be better than the Brembo's too? Good upgrade for an FR though I guess.
My stealer told me (dec 2006) that the Cupra was delayed because the Brembo's overheated and warped the discs....(yeah, right)
Personally I think that some beancounter in VAG head office saw the price per unit of the Brembo's against the rrp of the Cupra and blew a fuse, "der r32 brakes are 1/2 ze price!!!, ve fit zeze instead", cue the delayed release, mucho frustration, production line retooling etc...

I think the FR brakes are the same as a GTI and plenty good enough for me, like anything guess you pay for the brand name....
Let's not forget the brembo disc replacement costs, assuming they are still as bad as they were on the Mk1.
Also Bembo pads only got around 10-11k these pads hardly seem to have worn.

I dont think so horace, you should sometimes push the car really hard and you will find out that they are not so good like you think, I change them last week for D2 racing 8pistons 356mm.
exactly what i thought.Just raided spare parts bin to keep costs down,the cupra's brakes would have saved seat loads of money over any brembo set up.
I must admit that I have never had an issue with mine to be honest. Out of interest, how much did that set up cost and have you got any pictures?

That price is so high it makes your head hurt.
I can't see them selling many of those. The cupra's brakes are pretty decent in my view - The Brembo's cant be £1450 better than what the car come with?
I got super price, normaly they are for 1300 pounds, I paid 850 pounds. My car is in service and dont have the ECU ( she is on the vacation in UK
) but next week I will make pictures finally.Warranty probably.
I wonder how long it will take SEAT to catch up with (can't believe I am away to type this) Poxhall with regard to SEAT approved modifications other than the poxy Aero kit. For example, a facotry fitted Milltek, tuning options etc like you can buy from Poxhall for the VXR at reasonable prices.
If I wanted a brake upgrade, no way would I be paying £1450 + fitting for it. The £850 8 pot mentioned above would be superior and cheaper than these 4 pot Brembo's.

D2 racing brakes are cheap Chiness stuff, they are also called K Sport. They are very cheap but HiSpec are only a few hundred pounds more for something that is known as a very good quality kit. Brakes to me are a very important part of a car.

they are cheeper, but not cheep stuff from china, its very good brand!!! I have them for best price becose my friend spent there thousends, so they gave me this price like present for him. I have them from Komvet racing ( specialist on mitsh EVO tuning - best in central europe ) They install them to EVO 8 and 9s, so do you think they will put them on car with 460 HP?????? Brembo is very good, but expensive. I would like to buy AP racing big brake kit, but I dont wanna pay 3000 euro for them,not crazy.
You are buying AP brakes as what you have is Hong Kong/Chinese copies.
