anyone tried one of these manifolds as from the comparing pictures on the site there is quite a considerable difference in size and as i am fitting a k03s to my ibiza soon im thinking of purchasing one of these manifolds while im at it as the manifold is only £150, which at that price is cheap but also leads me to think that the quality may not be brilliant!?

has anyone fitted one? and seen any difference in performance? quality of the product anygood?

regards

Dean

Im going to be giving one of these a whirl if kinetec wont send there version over from the states.

There FMIC seem to be doing ok so why wouldnt the manifolds. IMO if i can fit it myself but it cracks under strain/heat i havent lost a massive amount.

Are these the ones people say crack ? Surely a manifold thats aftermarket should be able to take higher temps

ATP have been known to crack, i think David_smith909 is on his second.

I dont think anyone from here has tried the THS one.

im planning a ths intercooler, manifold and k03s conversion soon

yeh same here, just wanted some confirmation on the type 2 intercooler and if anyone has tried one of these manifolds!

yeh i have heard about ATP manifolds cracking, these manifolds are relatively cheap, thats just what gets me thinking that they might not be that good in the quality department, but like _B3NNY_ says the intercoolers seem to be fine!

I just can't help think that it will crack and not last long at all

£150 for a high flow manifold?

not one to make presumptions, but at that price, I am some what sceptical

take into account that I have just forked out £500 for a JBS high flow manifold....and the quality is outstanding

not saying spending lots of money on a certain part always guarantees high quality, but experience over the years it has definitely counted for something, and usually does equate to a high quality product with durability

Nah, that wont be on a exchange.

I totally agree with what you saying jamie and it wouldnt surprize me if it that crack but for £150 and no labour charge i se it that i havent lost much if it does.

The kinetic has had some good reports on VWvortex apprently.

if I spent £150 on a car part and it failed, I would not be impressed at all

that aint exactly cheap

obviously you have money to burn:)

Mmm, someone get one ordered!

My THS IC is good quality stuff and does the job so would imagine the mani's will be ok too. But for how long, who noes?

EDIT That's cast isn't it? I could just weld it up if it ever did crack....

The mani and the cooler have a completely diferenent purpose with the mani having much much more strain on it. I would trust either of them personally lol

you have to ask yourself, is £150 on a manifold going to be good quality? I mean come on, really do people think they are getting a good piece of kit? no is the answer to that

and £150 could be spend alot better towards a better quality one i.e. JBS K03 manifold

Sounds like a gamble to me...
