New colour for my VRS wheels!!

AdLav - Did you get any pics of the trial vRS wheels with the red lip? I know you've gone for the LM's now but was just wondering if you had any pics.

I'm thinking of adding a red lip to my wheels to make them stand out a bit more.

Gave up as the bodyshop took too long, I will be getting rid of my current vRS wheels soon anyhow...

I think i might just give it a go, only thing is it's going to be a bit tricky to mask up the edge. i thought about getting some of that really thin masking tape and using that. Any ideas?

There is a special tape you can use, like motorbike tape as its very thin.

That or spray the lip red wait a while for it to go off then mask that up and spray wheel then laquer?

I've found some of that tape on ebay so might give that method a go.

Do you reckon the red lip would suit the body colour?

Dark purple!!! would look okay on a black car.

The first colour that i sprayed my wheels came out sort of purple!

Ye the colour wouldn't have suited my cars colour.....but it might yours. Use that pic for a photoshop lol

Only a rough paint chop lol... but u get the idea. The colour is called mercury grey (from halfords!)... i think it would really suit your car

My GOD they look nice! Need mine slammed on my VRS rims then sprayed that colour!

I'd HAVE to go Candy Colour though. Ad Lav - you should get a candy red lip on it. Base coat of gold - then spray over with opague red. Looks pukka! Trust me!

nice photoshop i think i might go dark thou dunno whether to use gloss black or matt black, or maybe silver with black in the middle like that red photshop above.
