I'd be tempted if I could find more reviews. I'd be worried that as it's from the US the parking mirror option would dip the wrong mirror, also concerned that it would mess with the automatic closure/open on the windows.

Scratch that, I've just finished wading through that monster thread on vwvortex - wouldn't touch that company with a barge pole.

The only thing that PMO is that the MFD has the only clock. The rest of the information is good (for me) and I do use it a lot.

It could do with another clock in the middle of the dash in the A/C display.

I agree with OP, I didn't bother with large MFD, I don't use bluetooth, and the information on the standard display suits me fine. But I still would get it if I bought another Leon.

I leave it on Navigation. With no route active, you get a compass telling you which direction you are heading and it also tells you which road you are on...

But then I worry about the temperature and my MPG so I switch it back to MPG...

As for the OP asking:

Have you ever driven on the A1 from Northumberland to Edinburgh - or any road with Gatso's every 1/4 mile for that matter? If so, you wouldn't think the speed warning was useless!

yeah, i used to have a Golf MkV with std MFD and always wished I'd got the larger one when I had the chance... I didn't know what it was capable of then, but I do now, hence the BT was a definite on my options list!

I only have the smaller MFD and have to press the button to go through options which I find annoying. On the larger MFD, Can you see the clock and average MPG without changing setting? If so, I might upgrade to larger one although I gather it aint cheap... Anything else I would need other than clocks?

Yep, the clock is pretty much permanent (it only disappears if you use phone stuff, or if there's a warning to display such as low fuel), and the temperature gauge is permanent too - so you can see clock, average MPG, temperature, and your odometer and trip meter all at the same time.

Comes up with a message saying, "Speed 90 mph exceeded" (or whatever speed you've put in, obviously).

Ahh so large MFD users get an extra 2 words. Otherwise that function is exactly the same. Used it for the first time yesterday. But have to admit I find it damn annoying. Vroom 'ding', uh Oh, slows down, forgets about it... vroom 'ding'. Cycle continues lol. Need to work out how to switch it off now.

I only just found the speed warning function tonight. (had the car since Nov 1st) Could be handy for when you're going through roadworks that have speed cameras etc.

Why does it have 2 average MPG reading that are slightly different?

Setting 1 gives your figures for the current journey only, but if you stop and continue, within 2 hours I think, the previous figures are retained and included in the next trip, etc..
..whereas setting 2 retains cumulative stats for all your journeys, unless you press and hold the reset button under the wiper stalk to wipe them...not recommended if you want to keep your average overall mpg (well at least from when it was last reset...)
