Cupra - what other mods would be needed to go with Revo remap?

Hi,
I am new to the forum new to the car. Actually I don't own the car yet but i am planning though. I currently drive an Rx8 hipower, and maybe i will switch to cupra leon.
I wanted to know if i revoed the cupra what else will need upgrade.

Like:
Hoses
Catalytic converter
Intercooler
Brakes/pads
suspension
turbo gadgets

I live in Cyprus and the weather here is very hot. That is why my rotary is complaining all the time (failed coils, sparks motor etc.)

Thanks for helping.

P.S: Please convince me to buy the cupra.:rolleyes:
I test drive it but to be honest and without offense it doesn't feel near the RX8. It has huge amounts of torque, which i don't like and fair enough power. The biggest drawback is that is FWD if it was a RWD I would bought time months before

so basically you it isnt as good as an RX8, you dont like the torque curve, and you dislike the FWD.... is it just me or should you get an RX8 and look like a hairdressed

What do you mean hairdressed?
I just expressed my personal experience driving the cupra. Sorry I said "i don't like" i should said that it was a very strange feeling of the huge torque.

That's like making love to a woman and saying that it gave a "strange feeling". Keep on doing it, reward will be there. :p

Personally I think that you're just used to an engine that you really need to rev in order it to respond. If you want that same feel as the RX8, just drive it in higher revs. Cupra isn't short on performance for even the most powerful RX8.

to get the Revo remap modifications are not mandatory as it is designed to operate using a standard set up.

However many people upgrade the diverter valve and due to the temperatures where you live i would imagine that an uprated intercooler would be benefitial as you will be running higher boost.
However you can get the remap as then decide later regarding the intercooler, you may find its ok standard.

One thing im unsure about is that you say you dont like the torque already, remapping will only make this even worse as the torque increases significantly.

The Revo remap (on the MK1) had a fairly aggressive torque delivery compared to some other remaps. However you make the power delivery more linear by reducing the boost level which may suit the higher temperature in your country anyway.

Is Revo offered in Cyprus via the SEAT dealerships with full warranty cover like it is in Greece?

If you like something Hi revving and rear drive etc why not forget SEAT and get a Honda S2000 or similar?
