Quick question, what should I pay for a Scirocco manifold??

Found a G60 16V intergration Kit and some other bit's which I can cost up but the blokes asking for offers on the lot including the manifold which I know are rare but I don't know how much Scene Tax goes on these?

actually how much do you reckon I should pay for the whole kit

http://www.bahnbrenner.com/about/15/G60_G_Lader_16V_Supercharged

it's one of these which I could get imported for about £650 but with the manifold to I'm not sure how much to offer???

So am i reading this correctly... with a 16V base engine, you buy the integration pack for $989 then you source all the Required G60 parts for 16V base engine seperately? Thats a pretty sweet website, i will defeinately follow your progress... i have started saving... i wonder what the total build cost is likely to be??

my total build cost is likely to be around £2.5k (inc other engine bits to)

what you pay for the rocco manifold? i paid £20 for the lower half of a KR inlet

I'd be quick as they've said there are only a few left, another source is Vortec sports they do one for £700!

I'm budgeting £2K all in!

i'd add another £500 to that mate, just in case

Probably a good idea

I can't imagine work will start till June as I can just about scrape enough money together to get the bits till I get my Bonus 1st June then I can get the supercharger, brakes, pistons skimmed & flow the head etc

Plus rang Elephant last night to get what it would raise my insurance by and untill I get a years NCB they want an extra £2K, so can't really get it on the road till September!

Nah spoken to various engine builders and getting over 200bhp (want 240bhpish) reliably is going to be £5-6K+ just for the engine by the time you've added throttle bodies, I can easily get up to 270BHP with the SC conversion and do best part of the work myself!

If I can afford it and my landlord doesn't object I aim to get a replacement engine installed (again can do this between me and mates) then strip down the original lump and get the pistons skimmed and everything checked (it's done 117K), balanced, new seals, bearings etc, head flowed then re-build it adding the SC bits along the way with it on a cradle for ease with a mockup removeable engine bay make sure everything fits ok!

Do you reckon it'll still be worth going for a 3.94 final drive as the powerband will be pretty much the same just more of it??

Yep the fella I bought mine off regrets it, but then again he doesn't deserve it the state it was in when I bought it!!

I have access to an S-Reg 16V Cupra, lady driver that I may be able to convice my mates mum to sell so my GTI could be up for grabs soon, was trying the other night but my mate kept telling me to fook off as it was his once she's finished, let's see what cash does for her!

Damn you Greg, why do you have to make it sound and look sooo good. Today I would have given my arm and a leg to drive my old Beeza down some B-roads with the sunshine blazing again  Instead my eardrums were bleeding from the chav exhaust and I was getting overtaken by vans :help:

But its OK, the bike will finally get insured withing the next 3 weeks and then hopefully all will be well :funk:

engine looks sweet mate!

and so far my eaton charger conversion cost me £500-700! I will be rebuilding engine (either skimming pistons or fitting two HG's) with bigger injectors and an intercooler. then just sort management out
